BODE MILLER JOINS NBC SPORTS GROUP’S FIS WORLD CUP SKIING COVERAGE AT VAL D’ISERE FRANCE THIS WEEKEND ON NBC AND NBCSN

NBCSN’s Coverage Begins Friday at 1 p.m. ET; Saturday Coverage on NBC at 5 p.m. ET

Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety Expected to Compete at Val d’Isere

NBCSN and Universal HD Present FIS Women’s World Cup Skiing Coverage from Lake Louise This Weekend

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 1, 2016 – NBC Sports Group’s FIS World Cup skiing coverage this weekend is highlighted by the men’s alpine events in Val d’Isere, France, which will feature Bode Miller, the most decorated U.S. Olympic skier in history, as a color commentator on NBC and NBCSN’s telecasts.

NBC Sports Group will present more than 40 hours of men’s and women’s FIS World Cup skiing coverage this weekend, including women’s alpine skiing from Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. Two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety is expected to compete this weekend in France, while Switzerland’s Lara Gut, last season’s World Cup overall champion, is expected to compete at Lake Louise.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs — will provide live streaming coverage of this week’s FIS World Cup events.

Former World Cup ski racer Steve Porino will call the men’s downhill action alongside Bode Miller this weekend. NBC Sports’ coverage begins Friday at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN with the super-G, followed by NBC’s coverage of the downhill on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present coverage of the giant slalom Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the women’s event at Lake Louise begins Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET with streaming coverage of the downhill on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Universal HD will televise the women’s downhill Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET. NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream the downhill on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by NBCSN’s presentation of the downhill Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. Streaming coverage of the super-G will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Universal HD’s presentation at 6 p.m. ET. Steve Schlanger will call the action from Lake Louise.

NBCSN will also present FIL Luge World Cup coverage from Lake Placid this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET. 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Erin Hamlin and 2014 Olympian Summer Britcher will represent the U.S. against a strong German contingent that dominated last weekend’s season-opening event in Winterberg, Germany. Bill Doleman (play-by-play) and 2014 Olympian Kate Hansen (analyst) will call this weekend’s event.

In addition, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream FIS World Cup cross-country, nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and ski jumping coverage.
