NBC and NBCSN to Televise 53 Hours of U.S. Ski and Snowboard Coverage This Season
Olympic Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin and Reigning Overall World Champion Lara Gut Expected to Compete at Women’s World Cup Event in Killington This Weekend on NBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 23, 2016 – NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented coverage of the 2016-17 U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) season, highlighted by the FIS World Cup Final in Aspen, Colo., and the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships at St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Coverage begins this Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC with the women’s World Cup event in Killington, Vt., in which U.S. Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin and reigning overall World Cup champion Lara Gut are expected to compete.
NBC and NBCSN will combine to televise 53 hours of USSA coverage this season, plus an additional 33 hours of digital coverage on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. NBC will broadcast 20 hours of USSA coverage this season, the most ever for the network, and the largest ski and snowboarding coverage in American ski and snowboarding event history.
In addition to its 33 hours of digital-exclusive coverage, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream all programming that airs on NBC and NBCSN.
This year’s USSA coverage is highlighted by more than 15 hours of live coverage of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships from St. Moritz, Switzerland, from February 7-19, as well as more than 10 hours of coverage from the World Cup Finals from Aspen, Colo., from March 15-19.
Coverage also includes action from Val d’Isere, France (December 2-4), the U.S. Grand Prix from Copper Mountain, Colo., (December 16-18), and the Visa Freestyle International from Deer Valley Resort (February 2-5).
