STAMFORD, Conn. – November 17, 2016 – NBC’s Sunday Night Football — primetime television’s No. 1 show — continues this week when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers visit Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins in a rematch of last season’s NFC Wild Card game. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, November 20, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

In last season’s NFC Wild Card game, Rodgers passed for 480 yards and four touchdowns in Green Bay’s 35-18 win over Washington. Packers WR Jordy Nelson had two receiving touchdowns in that game, and is currently tied for the top spot in the league with eight touchdown catches. Including the postseason, Green Bay has won six of its last seven games against Washington.

The Redskins defeated the Vikings 26-20 in Week 10, as rookie RB Rob Kelley rushed for a career-high 97 yards. Cousins has seven touchdown passes in his past three home games for a 103.5 rating, leading the Redskins to three consecutive home victories. Sunday’s game marks the first time Green Bay and Washington will meet on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.

Calling Packers-Redskins are Mike Tirico (play-by-play); 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Tirico, who called Monday Night Football on ESPN for 10 years (2006-16), makes his regular-season play-by-play debut on NBC’s NFL coverage.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched weekly studio show in sports, is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report on-site from FedExField in Hyattsville, Md., and Dan Patrick, who will host from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalkPaul Burmeister will report from CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash., on the Eagles-Seahawks game.

“THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” DEBUTS TONIGHT ON NBC

The only network with two primetime NFL packages, NBC debuts Thursday Night Football tonight, when Cam Newton and the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers host Drew Brees and the division rival New Orleans Saints. Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET with Football Night in Carolina on NBC.

Calling Saints-Panthers are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play) and 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, joined by sideline reporter Heather Cox.

Bob Costas, a 27-time Sports Emmy winner, will serve as the host of the Football Night in Carolina pregame show from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., and will be joined on-site by Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy and two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BUS RETURNS FOR 2016 NFL SEASON 

NBC Sports Group’s Sunday Night Football bus returns this season to travel the country, visiting the host cities of select Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games. This season, fans will get a closer look at behind-the-scenes action of SNF broadcasts on the bus, which will take fans from the field, to the studio and in the production trucks. Features of the bus include an interactive replica of the control room, a replica of the Football Night in America desk, life-size “Photo Bomb” wall, and more.

The bus will arrive in each city two to three days prior to the game, making stops at local landmarks and events before heading to the game site. Once at the stadium, the Sunday Night Football bus will give fans the opportunity to interact with America’s most-watched primetime television show with exclusive activities, memorabilia and a 55-inch monitor housing social media elements.

2016 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AND THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

NBC will present 24 regular-season primetime games, including 17 SNF games, the NFL’s opening game of the season NFL Kickoff 2016, the NBC’s annual Thanksgiving night game, and five new Thursday night games. Every 2015 playoff team makes an appearance on Sunday Night Football, and 19 of NBC’s 23 scheduled regular-season games (Week 17 game TBD) involve at least one playoff team from last season.
