Olympians and Top International Athletes to Compete

STAMFORD, Conn. – November 10, 2016 – NBCSN presents coverage of 2016 Grand Prix France this Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m. ET featuring performances from the men’s and ladies’ free skate competition from Paris. Universal HD will present coverage of the event throughout the weekend, beginning tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. ET with the ladies’ and men’s short competition. Coverage will be streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Highlighting the ladies’ competition are 2014 Sochi Olympian and two-time U.S. champion Gracie Gold, reigning World champion Yevgenia Medvedeva of Russia, and 2010 Olympic silver medalist Mao Asada of Japan. The men’s field features two-time World and four-time European champion Javier Fernandez of Spain, as well as reigning U.S. champion Adam Rippon and reigning U.S. bronze medalist Nathan Chen.

Play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon calls the action on NBCSN joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir.

Grand Prix France is the fourth event of the 2016 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. The Grand Prix Series, now in its 22nd season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2016 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 8-11, in Marseille France.
