STAMFORD, Conn. – November 9, 2016 – NBC Sports heads to “The Grand Canyon State” for complete coverage of the penultimate races of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series seasons from Phoenix International Raceway. NBCSN presents the final XFINITY race in the Round of 8 Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. Daniel Suárez, Elliott Sadler, Erik Jones and Blake Koch stand above the cutline all seeking their first XFINITY Championship title. NBC Sports’ Sprint Cup race coverage begins Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET as NBC presents the final cut race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Before Sunday’s green flag falls, pre-race coverage includes a look at Jimmie Johnson’s storied career and quest for a historic seventh title.
NBC PRESENTS NASCAR SPRINT CUP PLAYOFF RACING FROM PHOENIX SUNDAY AT 1:30 P.M. ET
NBC Sports kicks off its Sprint Cup coverage on Friday with practice at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by a special on-site edition of NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET. Qualifying wraps up the evening at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Saturday’s coverage includes practice at 3 p.m. ET, followed by NASCAR America at 5:30 p.m. ET and final practice at 6 p.m. ET, all on NBCSN. Race day coverage begins Sunday on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR America, followed by Countdown to Green at 2 p.m. ET and green flag racing from Phoenix at 2:30 p.m. ET. The checkered flag is followed by an on-site post-race show on NBCSN, as well as Victory Lap beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Race announcer Rick Allen calls this weekend’s action alongside analysts Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton. Pre- and post-race coverage is handled by host Krista Voda, and analysts Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett. Marty Snider, Mike Massaro, Dave Burns and Kelli Stavast report from pit road.

Race coverage kicks off with Countdown to Green at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN followed by the final race on the Round of 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
