STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 7, 2016 – NBCSN presents a classic Central Division clash and a preview of the 2017 NHL Winter Classic this week on Wednesday Night Rivalry, when Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks travel to St. Louis to face Vladimir Tarasenko and the St. Louis Blues this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs — will provide live streaming coverage of Blackhawks-Blues on NBCSN.

Four-time Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass analyst) will call Blackhawks-Blues from Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Pre-game coverage begins on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBCSN. Liam McHugh anchors Wednesday Night Rivalry studio coverage with analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones, as well as NHL insider Darren Dreger. Post-game coverage on NHL Overtime will air on NBCSN immediately following the conclusion of Blackhawks-Blues.

The Blackhawks and the Blues enter their showdown on Wednesday Night Rivalry with the top two records in the Central Division. Chicago (9-3-1) leads the division and has won six straight games, including a 4-3 win over Dallas on Sunday, and boasts an 8-1-1 record in its last 10 games. Chicago’s Artem Anisimov currently leads the NHL in points (17) and goals (8), while Patrick Kane sits second with 16 points and leads the league with 11 assists. Chicago has scored at least three goals in each of its last six wins.

The Blues (7-4-2) are coming off a pair of wins this past weekend at home, including a 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, as five skaters scored and defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk contributed three assists. This marks the second meeting of the season between the Blues and Blackhawks. Chicago hosted St. Louis on opening night this season on NBCSN, a 5-2 Blues victory, as Tarasenko scored a pair of goals for the visitors in the win.

Wednesday night’s game also serves as a preview of the 2017 NHL Winter Classic, which will feature the Blackhawks and Blues on Jan. 2 on NBC from Busch Stadium, home of Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals.
