NBC Sports Produces TNF This Week
STAMFORD, Conn. – November 2, 2016 – Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders (6-2) host reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and the Denver Broncos (6-2) in an AFC West showdown this week on Sunday Night Football at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, Calif. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, November 6, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.
Sunday marks the first-ever NBC SNF game in Oakland. With both teams tied at 6-2, the winner of Sunday’s match-up will claim the top spot in the AFC West. The Broncos rank first in the NFL in passing defense, with Miller ranking second in the NFL in sacks. Denver CB Bradley Roby had a 49-yard interception-return touchdown in their 27-19 win over San Diego in Week 8, the team’s third defensive touchdown this season.
Oakland leads the AFC in passing offense, powered by Carr who passed for a team-record 513 yards and four touchdowns in the team’s 30-24 thrilling overtime win against Tampa Bay last week. It was the third time in NFL history a QB threw for 500 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions in a game (Y.A. Tittle, 10/28/62 and Ben Roethlisberger, 10/26/14). Raiders WR Amari Cooper ranks third in the NFL in both receptions (52) and receiving yards (787), and had a career-high 12 catches and 173 receiving yards against Tampa in Week 8.
Calling Broncos-Raiders are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 31st season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.
NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.
Football Night in America, the most-watched weekly studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, and Dan Patrick, who will host from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk. Paul Burmeister will report from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis., on the Falcons-Packers game.
NBC SPORTS KICKS OFF ITS “THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” PRODUCTION THIS WEEK WITH FALCONS-BUCCANEERS ON NFL NETWORK
NBC, the only network with two primetime NFL packages, kicks off its production of Thursday Night Football tomorrow, Thursday, November 3, when the Atlanta Falcons visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on NFL Network.
Michaels (play-by-play), Collinsworth (analyst), and Heather Cox (sideline reporter) will call Thursday Night Football for NBC. Bob Costas, a 27-time Sports Emmy winner, will serve as the host of the pregame show and will be joined at the game site Dungy and Harrison. This week’s Football Night in Tampa will be live on location at Raymond James Stadium.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BUS RETURNS FOR 2016 NFL SEASON
NBC Sports Group’s Sunday Night Football bus returns this season to travel the country, visiting the host cities of select Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games. This season, fans will get a closer look at behind-the-scenes action of SNF broadcasts on the bus, which will take fans from the field, to the studio and in the production trucks. Features of the bus include an interactive replica of the control room, a replica of the Football Night in America desk, life-size “Photo Bomb” wall, and more.
The bus will arrive in each city two to three days prior to the game, making stops at local landmarks and events before heading to the game site. Once at the stadium, the Sunday Night Football bus will give fans the opportunity to interact with America’s most-watched primetime television show with exclusive activities, memorabilia and a 55-inch monitor housing social media elements.

2016 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AND THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
NBC will present 24 regular-season primetime games, including 17 SNF games, the NFL’s opening game of the season NFL Kickoff 2016, the NBC’s annual Thanksgiving night game, and five new Thursday night games. Every 2015 playoff team makes an appearance on Sunday Night Football, and 19 of NBC’s 23 scheduled regular-season games (Week 17 game TBD) involve at least one playoff team from last season.
