STAMFORD, Conn. – October 4, 2016 – Wednesday night’s all-new edition of NFL Turning Point, debuting tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, examines the Dallas Cowboys’ matchup with the San Francisco 49ers and studies how rookie QB Dak Prescott led the team’s come-from-behind victory.

In addition, the show takes an in-depth look at Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones’ individual and team-record 300-yard receiving performance against the Panthers; examines this past Sunday’s matchup between Seahawks CB Richard Sherman and New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall; and includes a spotlight look at Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman’s performance against Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor, featuring in-game audio from Norman.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute long NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, airs weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode includes:

  • Cowboys – 49ers: NFL Turning Point examines Prescott’s performance against the 49ers and studies how he rallied the Cowboys to victory, despite not having the team’s leading WR Dez Bryant. The segment shines a spotlight on Prescott and the Cowboys’ two touchdown drives in the first half, and reviews how they were the turning point in the game.
  • Panthers – Falcons: NFL Films highlights Jones’ 12 catches for 300 yards, and analyzes the inability of the Panthers defense to contain him. In addition, the segment takes a look at how Jones’ 75-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach.
  • Seahawks – Jets: The segment reviews the one-on-one matchup between Sherman and Marshall, and highlights how Sherman’s two interceptions in the second half secured the victory for Seattle.
  • Browns – Redskins: NFL Turning Point studies the battle between Norman and Pryor, and takes an inside look at how Norman’s interception late in the fourth quarter helped change the complexion of the game for the Redskins.

Wednesday night’s Sounds of The Game – Powered by BOSE – segment features the Best of NFL Films’ in-game audio from Seahawks QB Russell Wilson during the team’s win over the Jets.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

During the 2016-17 season NBCSN will air a total of 21 NFL Turning Point episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, will look back at the “turning point” of Super Bowl LI.
