ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 7, 2016) – The PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Playoffs continue this week with the BMW Championship outside of Indianapolis at Crooked Stick Golf Club. The field includes 69 of the top-70 eligible players in the FedExCup standings competing in a no-cut event with the top-30 advancing to the TOUR Championship in Atlanta in two weeks. The current top-5 in the standings are: No. 1 Patrick Reed, No. 2 Jason Day, No. 3 Dustin Johnson, No. 4 Rory McIlroy and No. 5 Adam Scott. Due to Notre Dame’s scheduled 3:30 p.m. ET football game on Saturday afternoon, NBC will carry lead-in coverage from Noon-3:30 p.m., with third round coverage concluding on Golf Channel from 3:30-6 p.m. The Web.com Tour Finals kick off this week in Ohio with the DAP Championship. The top-75 players on the Web.com money list and Nos. 126-200 in the FedExCup final regular season standings following last month’s Wyndham Championship are eligible to compete in the four-tournament playoff series. At the conclusion of the Web.com Tour Championship (Oct. 6-9) a second set of 25 PGA TOUR cards for the 2016-17 season will be awarded to the top-25 players on the Finals money list. Thomas Pieters headlines the field at the KLM Open in the Netherlands.
In celebration of Arnold Palmer’s upcoming 87th birthday on Saturday, Golf Channel will be airing its critically acclaimed three-part original series ‘Arnie’, chronicling Palmer’s life and career, airing tonight from 8-11 p.m. ET.

Henrik Stenson withdrew this week with a knee injury.
