Deutsche Bank Championship – Final Round
Monday, Sept. 5, 2016
TPC Boston, Norton, Mass.

**Tee times were moved up for today’s final round to avoid inclement weather approaching this afternoon at TPC Boston, with the tournament concluding around 2:30 p.m. ET. Final round coverage from today is airing on NBC until 6 p.m. ET.**

On Rory McIlroy, 2016 Deutsche Bank Championship winner at 15-under par (6-under 65 on Monday)
Johnny Miller – “I think he’s back. Solidly back. Psychologically this was a really big hurdle for him. New putting style and he is hitting it good. Very impressive performance by Rory and a great 65 today. And wow, with the wind today, are you kidding me? A 65?”
Dan Hicks – “It has been a total role reversal for McIlroy.”
Peter Jacobsen – “He is feeling good about every aspect of his game.”
Dan Hicks – “He was classic Rory McIlroy today.”

Rory McIlroy Speaking w NBC’s Steve Sands following his victory
Rory McIlroy – “I think those last 15 holes on Friday were definitely a turning point, not just in this tournament, but maybe in my season, to play the last 15 holes in 4-under par to get it back to even par for the day. Then I tweaked my putting grip on Saturday morning. Holed some putts on Saturday and went with it and got some momentum. Here we are, 69 holes later and 19-under par later and I end up with the trophy. It is amazing to think how I started this tournament and what was going through my mind after three holes, and then all of a sudden standing here with a trophy four days later. It is pretty cool.”
McIlroy – “I came off the back of a rough couple of weeks. Missed the cut at Baltusrol. Feeling like my game was close at Barclays, but I didn’t hole anything. I was thinking, ‘Here we go again,’ and that it was going to be a little bit of a grind and a bit of a struggle. As I said, things can turn around quickly in this game and they did for me this week.”

On Paul Casey, runner-up at 13-under par (2-over 73 on Monday)
Miller – “Such a great attitude he has had all day long even though it was a tough day.”

On Jimmy Walker, third place at 12-under par (1-under 70 on Monday)
Miller – “He doesn’t hit a lot of fairways, but he is one of the best players on the TOUR out of the rough.”

On the challenging windy conditions at TPC Boston for Monday’s final round
Miller – “With this much wind today, if you don’t have a little luck and play very good, you are going to have a lot of car wrecks out there today.”
