STAMFORD, Conn. – August 18, 2016 – NBC’s primetime coverage of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad continues tomorrow, Friday, August 19, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and features what could be eight-time gold medalist Usain Bolt’s last career Olympic race, as he anchors Jamaica’s 4x100m relay team against Justin Gatlin and the U.S. The women’s 4x100m relay will feature two-time individual Rio medalist Tori Bowie — and likely Allyson Felix — as the Americans look for their second consecutive Olympic title in an event that figures to be another U.S.-Jamaica showdown. Track and Field coverage also includes the women’s pole vault, the men’s hammer throw and the women’s 5000m.

Also Friday in primetime, American David Boudia competes in men’s platform diving qualifying. Boudia aims to become the first back-to-back men’s platform diving gold medalist since American Greg Louganis repeated in 1988.

Daytime coverage on NBC begins at 10 a.m. ET/PT with equestrian individual jumping gold medal final rounds, followed by team synchronized swimming gold medal finals. Coverage continues when the U.S. men’s volleyball team faces Italy in a semifinal matchup at 12:10 p.m. ET/PT, followed by gold medal finals in BMX cycling and women’s water polo as the U.S. takes on Italy at 2 p.m. ET/PT.

NBCSN also hosts coverage of men’s freestyle wrestling as reigning Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs aims to become the third U.S. freestyle wrestler to win consecutive gold medals at 11 a.m. ET. Men’s freestyle wrestling coverage moves to CNBC for the gold medal finals at 5 p.m. ET.

The women’s soccer gold medal match between Sweden and Germany highlights Friday’s NBCSN coverage at 4:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN’s coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with the men’s 50k walk, and continues with semifinal matchups in men’s basketball with U.S. against Spain at 2:15 p.m. ET and men’s handball as Poland takes on Denmark at 7:30 p.m. ET. Friday’s coverage concludes with gold medal finals in women’s boxing and taekwondo at 11:15 p.m. ET.

Friday, Telemundo and NBC UNIVERSO simulcast live coverage of the women’s soccer gold medal match as Sweden faces Germany at 4 p.m. ET.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 20

NBC’s primetime coverage on Saturday, August 20, begins at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and features the penultimate day of track and field competition as Allyson Felix is expected to lead the U.S. in the women’s 4x400m relay, with the Americans vying for their sixth consecutive gold medal in the event. Track and field coverage also includes the heavily favored U.S. in the men’s 4x400m relay, featuring LaShawn Merritt, the 400m bronze medalist in Rio and 2008 gold medalist; five-time Olympian Bernard Lagat in the men’s 5000m final; and Vashti Cunningham, daughter of former NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham, in the women’s high jump final.

Primetime coverage continues with the women’s volleyball gold medal matchup between Serbia and China, and the men’s platform diving gold medal final, where David Boudia is expected to contend for his second straight Olympic title.

NBC presents gold medal finals coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET/PT with the women’s triathlon, immediately followed by canoe/kayak at 12:15 p.m. ET/PT, women’s basketball at 2:30 p.m. ET/PT, and men’s water polo 4:45 p.m. ET/PT.

Men’s soccer highlights NBCSN’s Saturday coverage.
