BETHESDA, Md. – Aug. 10, 2016 – CSN Mid-Atlantic will present a live simulcast of 106.7 The Fan’s “The Sports Junkies” weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. beginning Sept. 6, making the popular Washington, D.C.-area sports radio show available on television for the first time in its 20-year history.
Hosted by John Auville, Eric Bickel, Jason Bishop and John-Paul Flaim, “106.7 The Fan’s Sports Junkies” will be presented in its entirety throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia on CSN, CSNmidatlantic.com and the NBC Sports app. Through the partnership, CSN will also feature show content across its TV, online, mobile and social media platforms, including daily highlight episodes.
“The Sports Junkies’ unique brand of humorous dialogue and insightful commentary is highly valued by sports fans in this region, as evidenced by the tremendous popularity, success and longevity of the show and its hosts,” said CSN Mid-Atlantic President Rebecca Schulte. “We are excited to add this entertaining content to our robust lineup of local team coverage and expand our relationship with 106.7 The Fan.”

Auville (Cakes), Bickel (E.B.), Bishop (Lurch) and Flaim (J.P.), are longtime friends and Washington, D.C.-area natives that got their start on public access cable television in 1995 before moving to radio in 1996. Now one of the region’s longest-running and most-popular radio shows, “The Sports Junkies” has aired on weekday mornings since 2006, and has served as 106.7 The Fan’s morning drive show since the station’s launch in 2009.
The four hosts have appeared regularly on CSN since 2013. For three seasons, they led “Table Manners,” a weekly conversation series that featured prominent guests from sports, entertainment and politics. During the 2015 NFL season, Auville, Bickel, Bishop and Flaim hosted the Tuesday edition of CSN’s daily “Geico Football Central.” They have also served as guests in CSN’s news and analysis shows, including “#RedskinsTalk.”
