New Season, Newly Promoted Teams: Burnley

First match: Burnley v. Swansea City, Sat., August 13, 10 a.m. ET

Burnley earned automatic promotion to the 2016-17 Premier League by finishing first in the Championship last season. After being relegated following the 2014-15 campaign, the Clarets’ season in the Championship included a 23-match unbeaten streak. Led by manager Sean Dyche and Championship Player of the Year Andre Gray, Burnley are hopeful to maintain their standing in English football’s top flight this  season – their third in the Premier League.

The club is located in Burnley, Lancashire county in northwest England outside Manchester. As one of the founding members of the Football League, Burnley have had a distinguished tenure dating to 1882.
