STAMFORD, Conn. – July 13, 2016 – With exactly one month until kickoff of the 2016-17 Premier League season, NBC Sports Group today released its television schedule for the first two months of the season. The TV slate features live coverage of all 60 matches beginning Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 a.m. ET on CNBC with Hull City facing last season’s champions Leicester City.

The networks of NBCUniversal will present at least six games each week in the season’s first two months on NBC, NBCSN, and CNBC, with all games preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

All remaining Premier League matches will be made available on Premier League Extra Time, a bonus television package available to MVPDs at no extra cost for customers who receive NBCSN.

This season’s schedule includes 10 Friday afternoon matches, the first of which, Manchester United v. Southampton (Friday, August 19, 3 p.m. ET on USA), is new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s first home match with the Red Devils this season.

In addition, matches will be telecast in Spanish each week by TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO, and will also be streamed on the NBC Deportes EN VIVO EXTRA app for mobile devices.

All Premier League games will be streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs. Coverage will be streamed via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value to for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms. In addition, viewers consumed a record total of 613 million minutes and 2.6 million unique users on the NBC Sports app (previously NBC Sports Live Extra), up 118% and 26%, respectively, from last season.

Highlights From August-September Premier League Schedule

Week 1 - Sunday, August 14, 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN:

ARSENAL v. LIVERPOOL

The opening weekend on the 2016-17 Premier League season is headlined by a clash of perennial powers, as Liverpool travel to the Emirates for a showdown with Arsenal. Liverpool enter their first full season under manager Jurgen Klopp, who took charge in October 2015 and led the Reds to a Europa League Final appearance last season. Their opening five matches will this season provide quite a test, with games against Tottenham, Leicester and Chelsea following in the weeks after the opener at Arsenal. The Gunners, meanwhile, will look to build on last year’s second-place finish, their first in the top-2 since 2004-05. Manager Arsene Wenger, the longest-tenured manager in the league, leads Arsenal for a 21st straight season.

Week 2 - Saturday, August 20, 12:30 p.m. ET on CNBC:

LEICESTER CITY v. ARSENAL

In an early meeting of last season’s top two clubs, reigning champions Leicester City take on an Arsenal side that handed the Foxes two of their three Premier League losses last year. Leicester City’s leading scorer Jamie Vardy (24 goals) has signed a new contract with the club after being pursued by Arsenal last month, and he will now look to lead to Foxes to the top of the Premier League again.

Week 4 - Saturday, September 10, 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN:

MANCHESTER UNITED v. MANCHESTER CITY

The season’s first installment of the Manchester Derby is one of the most anticipated fixtures of the year. Both Manchester clubs will have new managers in charge, as former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho takes over at Manchester United, and Pep Guardiola takes the reins at Manchester City. The two world-class managers have a heated history from their time overlapping in Spain (2010-2012), when Mourinho led Real Madrid and Guardiola was in charge of archrivals Barcelona. Now, the managerial rivals are in the same city, bringing an extra layer of intrigue to the always-electric Manchester Derby.

Following is the NBCUniversal schedule for the first two months of the Premier League season:

(NOTE: TBD indicates that there will be two matches in that time slot on NBCSN and CNBC, in some cases one match on NBC UNIVERSO or TELEMUNDO, and remaining non-NBCSN games on Premier League Extra Time. Final channel assignments for those matches will be made in the coming weeks.)
