COMCAST SPORTSNET TO CARRY LIVE COVERAGE OF THE MUHAMMAD ALI MEMORIAL SERVICE THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 10 BEGINNING AT 12:30 PM CT

CSN’s special tribute coverage begins with the live, half-hour special “The Greatest: Remembering Muhammad Ali” at 12:30 PM (hosted by Pat Boyle & special guests), followed by live Memorial Service coverage at 1:00 PM

Chicago, IL (June 8, 2016) – Comcast SportsNet Chicago has announced it will be carrying expanded, live on-air/digital coverage of Muhammad Ali Memorial Service, which will be held this Friday, June 10 beginning at 12:30 PM CT.

CSN’s special tribute coverage — also streaming live on CSNChicago.com — will get underway at 12:30 PM with a live special entitled “The Greatest: Remembering Muhammad Ali.” Hosted by Pat Boyle, this half-hour special will take an in-depth look back at Ali’s unrivaled professional career and massive societal impact featuring special guest interviews with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Larry Holmes, boxing analyst Al Bernstein, Ali documentarian Bill Sigel, and veteran Chicago sports journalist Fred Mitchel.  In addition, fans can look forward to a special feature segment that highlights Ali’s time in Chicago and its accompanying lifelong communal impact.  NOTE: This CSN Chicago-produced special will also air live on additional NBC Sports Group Regional Networks throughout the country.

Then, at 1:00 PM, CSN will provide live on-air/digital coverage of the Muhammad Ali Memorial Service, which will take place at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, KY.  Among the dignitaries scheduled to be in attendance include King Abdullah II of Jordan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with featured eulogists: former President Bill Clinton, actor Billy Crystal, broadcaster Bryant Gumbel, and Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali, among others.
