Curt Byrum – “He was feeling a lot pressure today.”

Wise speaking with Golf Channel’s Billy Ray Brown after his round
Aaron Wise – “I’ve dealt with a lot of tough rounds before. It was actually easier if anything. Having these people out here to cheer me on is something that I cherished and I looked forward to today.”
Wise – “That is something [bouncing back] I’ve always worked on. It is bouncing back. I call it the bounce back stat, and I think I am pretty good at it. I did it again when I made another mistake on the other par-3. It is something I’ve been working on since I was a kid.”
Wise – “I told Van [Williams, Oregon’s assistant coach] when I make this thing, there is going to be a roar. It was one of those putts that I actually struggled to read. I called in Van and he settled me down. Obviously I read it right and when it went in, I kind of let out some emotion.”
Wise – “Knowing this is my last event in front of my teammates, my family, my friends. It’s hard. My family came up just because this was my last event. Obviously all that brings pressure. Being on your home course, everything. There was a ton of pressure on me today and I was happy with the way I was able to calm down before the round and execute.”

On Southern California’s Rico Hoey, finishing runner-up at 3-under par (1-under par on Monday’s final round)
Wadkins – “There is no shortage of guts when it comes to Rico Hoey. He’s not afraid of anything.”

On Arizona State’s Jon Rahm, turning in a 1-over par 71 on Monday and finishing T3
Nicole Castrale – “He really struggled with his short irons today.”
Castrale – “It is almost shocking how off he has been today.”
Papa – “He has truly worn his emotions on his sleeve today.”
Papa – “It has been a rough day for Arizona State today.”

Oklahoma head coach Ryan Hybl speaking with Golf Channel’s John Cook (Oklahoma finished in 8th to advance to the 8-team match play tournament Tuesday)
Ryan Hybl – “Super excited to be here. Yesterday was a waiting game. Got in by the skin of our teeth, and today, we didn’t have anything to lose. Our guys just hung in there and they fought and they really did a great job today. It was awesome.”
Hybl – “We’re just excited with this opportunity.”

On Cal Coach Steve Desimone retiring after 37 years at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships
Wadkins – “There are so many players that have played this game at this level that their coaches become their dads. Our coach was our dad. He took care of all of our needs and made sure we were in great shape.”
