STAMFORD, Conn. — May 23, 2016 — In advance of Sunday’s trifecta of F1, IndyCar and NASCAR action, NBCSN’s NASCAR America gears up coverage for the “Biggest Day in Motorsports.” The week is highlighted by Wednesday’s 2017 NASCAR Hall of Fame class announcement on NASCAR America at 5 p.m. ET and Friday’s NASCAR America Motorsports Special, with injects from Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NBC Sports Group’s Formula One team in Monaco, on-site for the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.

On Wednesday, NASCAR America announces the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 and winner of the 2017 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. Host Krista Voda and analysts Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton report live from the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, as five inductees from the list of 20 nominees are chosen for enshrinement. This year’s nominees include a diverse group of drivers and non-drivers who worked tirelessly to make the sport what it is today. Mark Martin, 96-time race winner, Rick Hendrick, 14-time car owner champion, and Ken Squier, legendary NASCAR broadcaster, are among the nominees.

NBCSN presents the NASCAR America Motorsports Special Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET. The two and a half hour program bleeds into Friday’s NASCAR America and highlights the latest news and updates ahead of Sunday’s F1 Monaco Grand Prix, which will air live on NBC at 7:30 a.m. ET, as well as the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR Coca-Cola 600. NASCAR on NBC reporter Mike Massaro hosts the show alongside Kyle Petty from NBC Sports Group’s headquarters in Stamford, Conn. Marty Snider, Townsend Bell, and Ray Evernham co-host coverage from Indianapolis Motor Speedway while Leigh Diffey, Steve Matchett, David Hobbs, and Will Buxton contribute on location from Monaco. Coverage includes a feature with 2016 Indy 500 pole sitter James Hinchcliffe, who sustained life threatening injuries in a shocking crash during last year’s 2015 Indy 500 practice.
