STAMFORD, Conn. – May 18, 2016 – NBCSN presents a pivotal Eastern Conference Final Game 3 matchup tonight at 8 p.m. ET, as Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Tampa to face Nikita Kucherov and the Lightning with their series tied at one game apiece.

Three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call of tonight’s Game 3 matchup from Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.

Pre-game coverage begins tonight at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live. Liam McHugh hosts tonight’s studio coverage alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Anson Carter.

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 3 – PENGUINS-LIGHTNING – TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SERIES TIED 1-1

The Penguins recorded a much-needed win in Game 2 to knot the Eastern Conference Final at one game apiece on Monday night. Sidney Crosby snapped an eight-game goalless drought with his first career playoff overtime goal 40 seconds into the extra session to give Pittsburgh a 3-2 victory.

Pittsburgh outshot Tampa Bay by a 41-21 margin in Game 2, and holds a 76-41 advantage in the shot totals through two games. Jonathan Drouin scored for Tampa Bay, and has 11 points in 12 games in the postseason. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevksiy started for the Lightning in place of Ben Bishop, who sustained a lower-body injury in Game 1, and made 38 saves in the loss.

 


BLUES-SHARKS WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 3 – TOMORROW AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SERIES TIED 1-1

The Western Conference Final shifts to San Jose for Game 3 tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when the Sharks host the St. Louis Blues with their series tied 1-1. San Jose evened the series with a 4-0 win in Game 2 last night, as Martin Jones made 26 saves to record his second career postseason shutout. Tomorrow night’s coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live.
