GAME 7 – (2) BLUES AT (1) STARS – TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Stars avoided elimination with a 3-2 win in Game 6 in St. Louis, as Mattias Janmark, Vernon Fiddler, and Jason Spezza scored early in the first period to spot Dallas a 3-0 lead and chase St. Louis goaltender Brian Elliott. St. Louis responded with a pair of goals and outshot Dallas 37-14 in the game, but Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen made 35 saves to preserve the win.

This is the third Game 7 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and second for the Blues, who defeated Chicago 3-2 in Game 7 in the First Round. Historically, home teams and teams that score first have an advantage in Game 7s: the home team is 95-68 all-time in Game 7s, while the team that scores first is 121-42 all-time.

GAME 7 – (WC1) PREDATORS AT (3) SHARKS – TOMORROW AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Nashville forced tomorrow night’s Game 7 with its second consecutive overtime win at home, as Viktor Arvidsson netted his first career Stanley Cup Playoff goal 2:03 into the extra session to keep the Predators alive with a 4-3 victory. The Predators won despite two goals from Sharks forward Chris Tierney and Logan Couture’s sixth goal of the postseason. Nashville will now play in its second Game 7 of the postseason and in the franchise’s history, following its 2-1 win in Game 7 against Anaheim in the First Round.
