GAME 6 – (1) CAPITALS AT (2) PENGUINS – TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – PENGUINS LEAD 3-2

The Caps avoided elimination on Saturday night with a 3-1 win in Game 5 in Washington, as Alex Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie each recorded a goal and an assist in the victory. The Capitals have not advanced to the Conference Finals since 1998, while the Penguins last advanced in 2013, when they were swept by the Boston Bruins. The winner of this series will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who advanced to the Eastern Conference Final after defeating the Islanders in five games in the Second Round.

CAPS-PENS GAME 5 IS SECOND-MOST WATCHED NON-STANLEY CUP FINAL NHL PLAYOFF GAME ON RECORD
