NBC SPORTS GROUP AND CRACKLE TO BRING SPORTS JEOPARDY! WITH DAN PATRICK TO NBCSN BEGINNING AUGUST 6

Sports Jeopardy! to Air on NBCSN Following Network’s Nightly Rio Olympics Coverage

New Episodes of Sports Quiz Show Debut on Crackle Every Wednesday Night

Stamford, Conn. – April 20, 2016 – NBC Sports Group and Crackle will present Sports Jeopardy! on NBCSN following the network’s nightly coverage of the Rio Olympics. NBCSN has acquired the exclusive television rights to the series hosted by Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Dan Patrick, and which airs originally on Crackle. The 30-minute sports quiz show will premiere on NBCSN on Saturday, August 6, at midnight ET, and will then air nightly for two consecutive weeks until the conclusion of the Games.

Following a brief hiatus, Sports Jeopardy! will return in the fall of 2016 to air weekly on NBCSN immediately following the network’s coverage of NHL Wednesday Night Rivalry. NBC Sports commentators and highlights of NBC Sports Group’s live events will be incorporated into the show.

“We’re excited to work with Crackle to bring Sports Jeopardy! to NBCSN’s television audience of more than 82 million homes,” said Jon Miller, President of Programming, NBC Sports and NBCSN. “Dan Patrick, Sony Pictures Television and the team at Crackle have created a great show that we know our viewers will enjoy.”

Sports Jeopardy! has been a critically-acclaimed weekly series on Crackle for the past year and a half and we can’t wait to bring episodes of the series to NBCSN,” said Eric Berger, EVP Sony Pictures Television Digital Networks and GM, Crackle. “Making the series available on both TV and streaming on demand during the most important athletic event of the year is a win for everyone.”

“For us — the special few who ignored the so-called important news growing up and spent our days reading box scores, watching random sports and getting C’s in our classes — we finally have a show,” said Patrick. “If you know, off the top of your head, Joaquin Andujar’s career ERA or Warren Moon’s CFL stats, this is the show for you.”

The multi-year agreement between NBC Sports Group and Crackle will include more than 100 existing episodes of Sports Jeopardy! produced by Crackle. NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product, will also stream episodes that are televised on NBCSN.

Seasons one and two of Sports Jeopardy! are currently streaming on Crackle. New episodes premiere every Wednesday.

Sports Jeopardy! is executive produced by Harry Friedman and the multiple-Emmy Award winning team behind Jeopardy!  Sports Jeopardy! is produced by Sony Pictures Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company.
