Stamford, Conn. – April 14, 2016 – NBCSN will present the 2016 Notre Dame Football Blue-Gold Game on Saturday, April 16 at 12:30 p.m. ET from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind. The annual spring football scrimmage will provide fans with their first look at the Fighting Irish’s midterm freshmen, as well as a preview of the 2016 Notre Dame Football roster. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected TVs – will stream coverage of the 2016 Notre Dame Blue – Gold Game.
NBCSN’s coverage of the Blue-Gold Game will once again feature enhanced production elements to give viewers access to additional sights, sounds and aspects of the scrimmage. Elements will include in-game audio from head coach Brian Kelly.
Throughout coverage of Saturday’s game, NBCSN will conduct interviews with current players and former Notre Dame standouts. In addition, Saturday’s halftime coverage will include a sit down interview with coach Kelly, in which he discusses the team’s deep roster of talented quarterbacks and the competition for who will be named as this year’s starting QB.
Paul Burmeister will handle play-by-play duties for the game, alongside analyst Ross Tucker. Notre Dame Insider and current University of Notre Dame student Jac Collinsworth will report from the sidelines.
NBC’s 26th season of broadcasting Notre Dame Football home games begins on Saturday, September 10, when the Fighting Irish host the Nevada Wolf Pack at Notre Dame Stadium. The complete 2016 Notre Dame Football on NBC schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
