NBCSN Presents The List: Daytona Memories – The Greatest Moments from NASCAR’S Most Storied Track

STAMFORD, Conn. – February 2, 2016 – With the Daytona 500 less than 20 days away, NASCAR America returns tonight with live coverage of the storylines, personnel and team changes impacting the 2016 season. NBCSN presents two 30-minute editions of NASCAR America today, and Wednesday, Feb. 3, then expands to 60-minute episodes on Thursday, Feb. 4, and Friday, Feb. 5.

This week’s NASCAR America delivers in-depth looks at Team Penske, Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Stewart-Haas Racing as the 2016 Daytona 500 approaches. Tuesday’s edition celebrates Penske’s 50th anniversary and studies the Penske and Wood Brothers Racing affiliation.

Wednesday’s show analyzes expectations surrounding Chase Elliott and the famed No. 24 team, and explores Darian Grubb’s new position as Hendrick Motorsports’ vehicle production director. NASCAR America’s “Joe Gibbs Racing Thursday” concentrates on crew chief changes for Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards, and examines expectations for the race team after Kyle Busch’s tremendous 2015 Championship.

Wrapping up the week, Friday’s show focuses on Tony Stewart’s last Sprint Cup season, Danica Patrick’s new crew chief Billy Scott, and Kevin Harvick’s chances of winning it all in 2016.

 

NBCSN Presents The List: Daytona Moments– The Greatest Moments from NASCAR’S Most Storied Track

Friday’s special feature, The List: Daytona Moments, showcases the most dynamic moments from the “World Center of Racing,” Friday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The feature includes highlights of Daytona’s fantastic finishes, major upsets, milestones, wild moments and plenty of “Big One” crashes. With moments as recent as the completion of Daytona Rising, to Lee Petty and Johnny Beauchamp’s simultaneous finish in 1959, The List: Daytona Moments transcends race fan generations.

2015 NASCAR on NBC Season

The addition of NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series racing to NBC Sports Group’s portfolio set viewership milestones in 2015. The Sprint Cup Championship race from Miami was the most-watched NASCAR season finale in a decade and set a NASCAR live streaming traffic record for NBC Sports Live Extra. Five of NBCSN’s top 10 most-watched telecasts in the network’s history are 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup races, and NASCAR powered NBCSN to its most-watched year on record. The NASCAR on NBC Facebook page established 308M total impressions on content in 2015, while the @NASCARonNBC twitter handle closed out 2015 with 77K Total Followers, a growth of 303% over the previous year.
