Chicago, IL (January 14, 2016) – Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, continues to delve into the lives of some of the biggest names in Chicago sports with its candid, monthly, one-on-one interview series Inside Look presented by Cadillac.

Debuting Monday, January 18 at 9:30 PM CT, Comcast SportsNet’s Chris Boden hosts an exclusive one-on-one interview with former Chicago Bears head coach/current Comcast SportsNet NFL analyst DAVE WANNSTEDT.  Wannstedt, who spent close to four decades coaching in the college or pro ranks, including 11 years as an NFL head coach (six with the Bears), is now a full-time college/NFL analyst on a variety of media outlets, including Comcast SportsNet.  In this edition of Inside Look, Wannstedt discusses everything from how he got his start in coaching, to accepting the Bears head coaching job while still employed with the Dallas Cowboys, along with his dismissal from the Bears, if he plans on ever coaching again, and much more.

In addition, viewers are urged to check out Comcast SportsNet’s website CSNChicago.com for additional interview content never before seen on TV.  Fans will also be able to watch every Inside Look guest interview online after it debuts on Comcast SportsNet.  Comcast SportsNet will also re-air Inside Look with Dave Wannstedt on the following dates/times: Fri, Jan. 22 at 1:30pm and Mon, Jan. 25 at 7:30pm on CSN+.  Schedule subject to change.

Note the following quotes from Inside Look with Dave Wannstedt presented by Cadillac premiering Monday, January 18 at 9:30 PM on Comcast SportsNet:

WANNSTEDT on how he got his start in coaching:
“I always wanted to be a coach.  I knew I was kind of a borderline player, and I had an opportunity to coach at Pitt at that time and we were really rolling.  In fact, in my second year at coaching, we won the national championship, beating Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, so to have a chance to be a part of that was the greatest thing in the world.  I was a full-time coach in college at 24 years old, which was very usual.”

WANNSTEDT on accepting the Bears head coaching job, while preparing for the Super Bowl with Dallas:
“Mike McCaskey calls and offers me the Bears job, so I accepted went down to talk with Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones.  Mike says ‘okay, we’re going to do a press conference,’ and I’m looking at my watch.  I mean I probably didn’t get a chance to enjoy it as much as I could have because I’m truly looking at my watch saying ‘I’ve got to get back (to Dallas) by eight o’clock with the defense the next morning.  It was a bit of a stressful time, but it all worked out.”

WANNSTEDT on being dismissed by the Bears:
“I probably should have been gone the year before that to be really honest with you and it wouldn’t have surprised me…but they (McCaskey family) were as patient as you could be and as good as you could be and I’ve always respected that.”

WANNSTEDT on if he will ever consider becoming a coach again:
“I am not working for anyone else anymore.  I did that a couple of times after I left Pitt and it was great. (Boden: “Not even Jimmy?”) Not even Jimmy Johnson!”
