STAMFORD, CONN. – January 5, 2016 – Wednesday night’s all new edition of NFL Turning Point, debuting tomorrow at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, breaks down QB Teddy Bridgewater and the Minnesota Vikings’ NFC North title matchup with QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers; highlights QB Peyton Manning’s heroic return to the Denver Broncos during Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers; reviews QB Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ playoff-clinching win over the Cleveland Browns; and examines DE J.J. Watt’s impact on the Houston Texans.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute long NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, airs weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Vikings-Packers: NFL Turning Point shines a spotlight on Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer’s aggressive game plan that led Minnesota to their first divisional title since 2009. The segment also studies the strong performance of the Vikings defense, including CB Captain Munnerlyn’s fumble recovery and subsequent 55-yard touchdown return.
  • Chargers-Broncos: NFL Films reviews Sunday’s matchup between San Diego and Denver, and examines how Manning orchestrated the Broncos’ come-from-behind victory, after entering the game in the third quarter. NFL Turning Point breaks down the 20 points Denver was able to score after starting QB Brock Osweiler left the game and Manning entered.
  • Browns-Steelers: NFL Turning Point studies Roethlisberger’s three-touchdown performance, and analyzes how he led the team to victory in their must-win game against the Browns. The segment reviews Roethlisberger’s 349- yard plus passing performance, including 187 yards and one touchdown pass to WR Antonio Brown.
  • J.J. Watt: NFL Films reviews Watt’s impact on the Texans and his overall performance since injuring his left hand.

Wednesday night’s Sounds of The Game – Powered by BOSE – segment will feature in-game audio from Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins, who was wired-for-sound in Sunday’s game against the Jets. The segment will also include a collection of the best sounds from around the league during Week 17.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2015 NBCSN will air a total of 21 episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2016, will look back at the “turning point” of Super Bowl 50.
