STAMFORD, CONN. – December 29, 2015 – This week’s all-new edition of NFL Turning Point, debuting Thursday at 1:30 a.m. ET / Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. PT on NBCSN, features the thrilling Week 16 overtime matchup between QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets and QB Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The program examines Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s decision to kick off to the Jets after winning the overtime coin toss, and reviews how the Jets were able to win in overtime.

In addition, NFL Turning Point studies the Atlanta Falcons’ dramatic upset over the previously undefeated Carolina Panthers, and features in-game audio from Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford during Sunday’s win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute long NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, airs weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Patriots-Jets: NFL Films shines a spotlight on the Jets matchup with the Patriots, and examines Belichick’s decision following the overtime coin toss. In addition, the segment studies Ryan Fitzpatrick’s performance and how he was able to orchestrate the win for the Jets, . and highlights Jets WR Brandon Marshall’s two touchdown-catches.
  • Panthers-Falcons: NFL Turning Point breaks down the Falcons’ fourth-quarter performance in Sunday’s game against the Panthers, and studies Atlanta WR Julio Jones’ stand out performance against Carolina CB Josh Norman. In addition, the segment examines how the Falcons’ young defense was able to limit QB Cam Newton and the Panthers to just one touchdown.
  • 49ers-Lions: NFL Turning Point features in-game audio from Stafford during Sunday’s victory and reviews how his overall play led the Lions to a win over the 49ers.  The segment. NFL Films also examines how Stafford was able to help turn the Lions’ season around, following the team’s 1-7 start.

This week’s Sounds of The Game – Powered by BOSE – segment features additional in-game audio from Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin, Raiders QB Derek Carr and Saints DT Kevin Williams in their respective games on Sunday.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2015 NBCSN will air a total of 21 episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2016, will look back at the “turning point” of Super Bowl 50.
