2016 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND OHIO GOVERNOR JOHN KASICH TO APPEAR ON GOLF CHANNEL’S “MORNING DRIVE” ON SUNDAY, 7-9 A.M. ET

Kasich to Discuss His Experiences in Golf and Personal Affinity for the Game

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 14, 2015 – 2016 Republican Presidential Candidate John Kasich will make an appearance on a different kind of Sunday morning news program while on the campaign trail in Florida, as the Ohio Governor stopped by Golf Channel’s Orlando World Headquarters as a guest for the network’s Morning Drive program, which will air at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 15.

During his visit earlier today, Kasich – an avid golfer – conducted an interview with Morning Drive co-host Gary Williams, talking about how he uses golf as an escape from his political obligations and his admiration for golf icons Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Kasich also joined Morning Drive co-host Charlie Rymer in the network’s golf simulator for a lesson on his golf swing.

“People who are CEOs, politicians, anybody in a pressure situation – if you really take the game seriously… You get lost out there,” Kasich said. “Just when I think I’ve got it, that [golf] club says, ‘Don’t have me.’ “It’s the same thing with the hole. I [feel like] I’ve got this hole and then the hole says, ‘Forget about it.’”

Kasich is in Orlando for the Sunshine Summit hosted by the Republican Party of Florida, where 14 GOP candidates were scheduled to speak to more than 2,500 Floridians on Friday and Saturday from the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel.
