Nick Price – “I’m so happy for Sangmoon Bae and Danny [Lee] the way they played. They were so nervous on the first tee this morning and I think they calmed each other down. Thongchai [Jaidee] and Charl [Schwartzel] they just played solid all day. Adam [Scott] and Jason [Day] they had a real battle today. And I think that was a phenomenal outcome for a phenomenal match. All in all I’m just so proud of those guys. My nerves are shot already. It’s Friday and we’ve still got three rounds of golf to go. It’s very nerve wracking just being back there and being powerless.”

Nobilo – “Super different strategies. America kept four pairings [from Day 1] exactly the same. The International team, the only pairing they didn’t change was that opening one of Oosthuizen and Grace.”
Nobilo – “That first hour of play, the Internationals were behind. It could have almost been embarrassing at the end of the day.”
Nobilo – “[The Internationals] showed up today. And an American side too that struggled. All the sudden when they hit the turn, those last nine holes they tended to go in the International’s favor.”

Arron Oberholser – “There’s a reason the [United States] 8-1-1 in the 10 Presidents Cups that they’ve played. It’s because at some point the U.S. separates themselves from [the Internationals]. So I like where it’s at right now, but tomorrow the Internationals are going to have to come out and play just as aggressively and as smart as they did today.”
On Match #1: Reed/Fowler vs. Oosthuizen/Grace
Oberholser – “You could throw out anybody and I think that they’re going to have a really hard time beating Oosthuizen and Grace.”
Oberholser – “They’re going to have to really think and strategize because Patrick Reed is not the greatest driver of the golf ball and he can put you in some bad spots off the tee.”
Gallagher Jr. – “I see two very confident players. Fowler is probably playing about as good as anybody. That’s a very confident team.”

Oberholser – “I’m looking at the Internationals winning this match. You look at the way Schwartzel putted today coming down the stretch. Spieth has got to pick his game up. He’s gotta turn this around in 16 hours. It was ugly today for Jordan. Really ugly.”
