STAMFORD, Conn. – September 23, 2015 – With tensions already boiling, NBCSN’s twin bill of racing from New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Kentucky Speedway this weekend is set to be action-packed and full of passion. The Sprint Cup playoffs are underway and drivers have two more races until the 16-driver field is cut to 12. With last week’s winner Denny Hamlin already locked in, the 15 remaining Chase drivers will fight their way to the front of the pack in New Hampshire to claim their spot in the next round. NBCSN presents XFINITY Series racing from Kentucky Presented by Nexium Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Sprint Cup Racing from New Hampshire Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

NBCSN PRESENTS THE NASCAR SPRINT CUP PLAYOFFS FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Rick Allen will call the action from the “Magic Mile” alongside Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte and 21-time Sprint Cup winner Jeff Burton. NASCAR driver and NBCSN analyst Brian Vickers joins the broadcasting booth during practice and qualifying rounds. Vickers will also join Krista Voda and Kyle Petty to contribute to the pre- and post-race coverage from Loudon, New Hampshire on Sunday. Marty Snider, Mike Massaro, Kelli Stavast and Dave Burns will contribute reports from pit road.

NBCSN’s coverage from “The Granite State” kicks off Friday with NASCAR Sprint Cup practice at 12 p.m. ET followed by qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET. Saturday’s coverage from New England’s largest sports facility begins early on CNBC with Sprint Cup Series second practice at 9 a.m. ET and the final Sprint Cup practice at 11:30 a.m. ET.

NBCSN’s coverage from the 1,200 acre oval speedway begins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET with NASCAR America Sunday presented by DraftKings. Coverage transitions to the Countdown to Green Served by Sonic pre-race show at 1:30 p.m. ET. This week’s show features Burton exploring New Hampshire’s ”Magic Mile” from behind the wheel of NBC Sports’ Toyota Camry On Track Car. The Sprint Cup playoff battle begins when the green flag falls at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage from the “Magic Mile” wraps up with the Post Race Show at 5:30 p.m. ET followed by NASCAR Victory Lap at 6 p.m. ET.

NBCSN PRESENTS NASCAR XFINITY SERIES RACING FROM KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

NBCSN’s coverage from “The Bluegrass State” is hosted by seasoned broadcaster Ralph Sheheen alongside NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett. Massaro will contribute trackside at Kentucky Speedway before jumping on a flight to cover the Sprint Cup race Sunday. Reporters Alex Hayden and Jim Noble also contribute trackside from the 14-degree banked tri-oval race track.

NBCSN’s coverage from Kentucky begins Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET with the first XFINITY Series practice, followed by the final practice at 6 p.m. ET. Saturday’s action kicks into high gear at 4:30 p.m. ET with XFINITY qualifying. Once track positions are set, XFINITY Series Countdown to Green Pre-Race Show begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Saturday’s main event begins at 8 p.m. ET with green flag racing from Kentucky Speedway.

JEFF GORDON MAKES HIS 789TH CONSECUTIVE SPRINT CUP START AS NASCAR’S NEW REIGNING “IRON MAN”

Jeff Gordon currently sits one start away from breaking NASCAR’S “Iron Man” record. After tying former NASCAR driver Ricky Rudd’s 788 consecutive starts last week at Chicagoland Speedway, Gordon is looking to leave yet another mark in NASCAR’s history book. Throughout the broadcast, NBCSN will take a closer look at Gordon and other past all-time consecutive-start drivers who penciled their names on the NASCAR “Iron Man” list.

This Friday ground will be broken on the construction of New England’s auto racing museum at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Entirely funded by the racing community, the museum will cover all forms of New England motorsports including road racing, oval track, drag racing and motorcycles. During the broadcast NBCSN will look at NASCAR’s New England drivers and the contributions the region has made to the sport.

Fans still have a chance to win big throughout the NASCAR playoffs including a chance to have their mortgage paid for a year by Quicken Loans in the Weekly Playoff Grid Challenge. As the NASCAR playoff field narrows, fans can enter before each race who they think will be the top three finishers each week.
