On the Saturday fourball matches
Judy Rankin – “Over time, the U.S. have been very strong in singles. If they can bail themselves out of the jam they are in, the might have the advantage going into Sunday.”
Terry Gannon – “The Americans were trailing by four points at the beginning of this session but they have turned things around, spurred on by the first match out.”

On Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson 3&2 over Azahara Munoz and Carlota Ciganda
Tom Abbott – “They have been a formidable pairing this week.”
Gannon – “An important point on the board for the U.S.”
Rankin – “One of the things will complete her [Lexi Thompson’s] game is when she becomes a well-rounded wedge player.”

Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr speaking with Golf Channel’s Jerry Foltz following their match
Lexi Thompson – “We knew it wasn’t going to be easy. It was going to be great golf being played by Carlota and Azahara out there. So, we knew we needed to make birdies especially in best ball and that is what we brought to the table.”
Cristie Kerr – “We have great chemistry on this team of Lexi and I. We have a lot of fun playing together and we egg each other on. If I mess up a hole she says, ‘I got you,’ and it’s same the other way around. That’s what makes a great team.”

On Karine Icher and Catriona Matthew 1up on Lizette Salas and Brittany Lang (through 15 holes, play suspended)
Kay Cockerill – “They [Salas and Lang] have been fist pumping today, just not being over demonstrative cheering.”
Rankin – “Things were going in so easily at the first part of the round for Icher, not so much anymore.”
Cockerill – “She [Icher] rolled in 100 feet worth of putts in the first three holes. I wouldn’t have imagined she would have missed short putts down the stretch.”

On Alison Lee and Brittany Lincicome 1up on Suzann Pettersen and Charley Hull (through 15 holes, play suspended)
Rankin – “I think midway on the front nine this afternoon, something clicked for Alison, and Brittany has been there when she needed to be.”
Rankin – “The spring in her step has not changed, and she [Charley Hull] has not been away from the golf course today.”
Abbott – “Alison Lee playing a lot better this afternoon than her previous two matches.”
Gannon – “You get the sense that Pettersen and Hull are lurking and waiting.”
Gannon – “She [Pettersen] is a second-half player.”
Rankin – “She [Pettersen] is a different player from what we saw yesterday for sure and even at the beginning of this match.”

On Gerina Piller and Stacy Lewis 1up on Caroline Masson and Caroline Hedwall (through 16 holes, play suspended)
Rankin – “Gerina really has shown what she is capable of the last two days. She has been due for a long time.”
Abbott – “When she [Hedwall] gets it going, she really is an exciting player to. watch.”
Gannon – “Lewis has turned it on today in Day 2, much more like the No. 3 player in the Rolex Rankings overall.”
