STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 15, 2015 – The No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish host the No. 14 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a Top 15 matchup this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.

The Fighting Irish (2-0) are coming off a dramatic 34-27 win this past Saturday over the Virginia Cavaliers. After losing starting QB Malik Zaire to a season-ending ankle injury late in the 3rd quarter, back-up QB DeShone Kizer threw a 39-yard game-winning touchdown pass to WR Will Fuller with 12 seconds left in regulation. The play capped an eight-play, 80-yard drive with 1:54 left to play.

The Yellow Jackets (2-0) have won each of their first two games by at least 55 points, including a 65-10 victory against Tulane this past Saturday, and a 69-6 win over Alcorn State in their season opener.

Saturday’s matchup against Georgia Tech is the 35th all-time meeting between the Fighting Irish and the Yellow Jackets, a rivalry which dates back to 1922. Notre Dame holds a commanding 27-6-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 15-3 mark against Georgia Tech in South Bend. The tie in the series came in 1980, a 3-3 game which ended Notre Dame’s perfect season that year.

Dan Hicks (@DanHicksNBC) calls Saturday’s game alongside 1984 Heisman Trophy Winner and analyst Doug Flutie (@DougFlutie) and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen (@KathrynTappen).

Liam McHugh (@liam_mchugh) will host pregame, halftime and post-game coverage, live from Notre Dame Stadium. McHugh will be joined by two-time Super Bowl Champion and former University of Georgia QB/WR Hines Ward (@mvp86hinesward), and Super Bowl Champion, BCS National Champion and former University of Miami LB Jonathan Vilma (@JonVilma51).
