“TOGETHER WE MAKE FOOTBALL” FEATURES DALLAS AREA FATHER-DAUGHTER COACHING DUO TOMORROW MORNING ON TODAY

Dallas Cowboys Host New York Giants on Sunday Night Football

STAMFORD, Conn. – September 10, 2015 – Tomorrow’s “Together We Make Football” segment on TODAY highlights Flower Mound, Texas coaching duo Ragan and Albert Montero.

23-year-old Ragan Montero has been a football fan for as long as she can remember, but her love for the game really took off when she was 10 years old. As a spectator at her younger brother’s practice during football camp, Ragan caught the eye of her brother’s coach, Cody Vanderford, who eventually taught her game strategy and named her team manager. Three years later, she became an assistant coach under her father, Albert Montero, on the Flower Mound Rebels tackle team for 11- and 12-year-olds. The Rebels went on to win the championship that year, and ever since, Ragan has taken on the role of Offensive Coordinator helping lead the team to five more championships.

Sunday Night Football, television’s No. 1 primetime show, kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 13, when Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys host Eli Manning and the New York Giants in an NFC East showdown from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports.

ABOUT “TOGETHER WE MAKE FOOTBALL”

The National Football League and NBC present weekly segments on TODAY for “Together We Make Football,” an invitation to anyone inspired by the game of football – whether as a player at any level, coach or a fan – to share their story for a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl 50.

The campaign will unfold weekly throughout the NFL season, beginning this Friday, September 11, with segments airing every Friday on TODAY.

Fans can visit TODAY.COM/TWMF now and share a video or photo, with a description detailing how football inspires them. Stories submitted through Monday, November 2, will be entered into the contest that will produce a winner of a trip to Super Bowl 50 in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Following the deadline for submissions, a joint NFL and NBC panel will select five finalists whose stories will be turned into short features by NFL Films. The features will be unveiled weekly on TODAY beginning Friday, December 4 and the winning story will be announced live on TODAY on January 8, 2016.

This is the latest iteration of the “Together We Make Football” campaign that launched in 2013. Over the past two years, thousands of fans shared their stories of what football means to them. A select few had their stories told on TODAY and some even won trips to Super Bowl.

Stories that air on TODAY also will be posted on NFL.com/videos/twmf throughout the season.
