NBC Sports Group Surrounds the 2015-16 Premier League Season

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 5, 2015 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2015-16 Premier League season kicks off three days from today, this Saturday, August 8. Coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN followed by Manchester United v. Tottenham, and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra. NBC Sports Group will once again make all 380 games from the Premier League available in the United States. All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

NBC Sports Group Surrounds the 2015-16 Premier League Season

Leading up to kick off this weekend, NBC Sports Group has been airing two promotional spots, “Beautiful Morning,” and “Up for Football,” across NBC, NBCSN, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC affiliates, NBC Sports’ regional sports networks, and Comcast Spotlight.

The NBC Sports Soccer social media handles are one-stop shopping for Premier League fans, with the latest news from around the Premier League on Facebook and Twitter, including score updates, recaps and analysis. Club supporters can tweet photos from their Premier League viewing parties by tagging @NBCSportsSoccer or using #BPLonNBC. Select fan photos on social media using #BPLonNBC will be showcased on air throughout the weekend, as a way to recognize the great passionate supporters across the U.S. that join us from wherever they are.

In addition, fans can download NBC Sports Group’s NBC Sports MatchMaker app, which helps Premier League fans locate, chat and meet up with each other to enjoy the thrill of watching matches with their fellow club supporters, in time for kick off this weekend.

At game time, the app activates an interactive map showing the venues that fans of a specific club are meeting, and the best bars and restaurants to watch football as voted on by other fans.  In addition, users can seamlessly invite their friends to meet up in the moment or organize a get together in advance for an upcoming match, and start the pre-game banter early with an integrated group chat function.

As the app is directly linked to NBC Sports Group’s Premier League schedule, fans can enable reminders about their team’s upcoming matches so they’ll never miss a kickoff.
