STAMFORD, Conn. – July 15, 2015 – NBCSN continues its presentation of the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series this Saturday night with live coverage of the Iowa Corn Indy 300 in primetime at 8 p.m. ET, part of more than 40 hours of motorsports coverage on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra this weekend. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. ET with qualifying, immediately following NASCAR XFINITY Series race coverage from New Hampshire, leading into live IndyCar action from Iowa Speedway.

Saturday night’s live primetime IndyCar coverage is part of 14 consecutive hours of motorsports coverage on Saturday spanning five auto racing series (NASCAR Sprint Cup, XFINITY and K&N Pro Series, Verizon IndyCar Series, and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship).

Last week, Sebastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) earned his second win of the season and second win of his career at the Milwaukee Mile in the IndyCar ABC Supply Wisconsin 250. Bourdais’ victory at Milwaukee marked the 34th win of his North American open-wheel career, tying Al Unser Jr. for seventh all-time. Juan Pablo Montoya (Penske) still leads the driver standings with 439 points, ahead of Scott Dixon (Target Chip Ganassi Racing; 385 points) and Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing; 370 points), whose back-to-back podium finishes have propelled the American into third.

Andretti Autosport drivers have won the last five IndyCar races at Iowa, including Marco Andretti, who sits in seventh in the standings (332 points). He is the only driver this season to complete every lap of all 12 races, and has notched four top five finishes in the last six races.

Saturday night’s pre-race coverage will feature a segment with NBCSN IndyCar analyst Paul Tracy and former rival and last week’s winner Sebastien Bourdais. The two will cruise the country back roads of Iowa in a custom Chevy Corvette, discuss how they’ve formed a unique friendship and relive some memories from their bitter rivalry on and off the track from a decade ago.

In addition to race coverage in primetime on Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET, NBCSN will air an encore presentation of the Iowa Corn Indy 300 on Monday, July 20 at 6 p.m. ET, and will air coverage of the Indy Lights series from Iowa on Monday at 11 p.m. ET.
