NBC SportsWorld‘s Jeff Kassouf caught up with U.S. Women’s National Team Captain Carli Lloyd in Canada after her amazing World Cup performance in which she scored three goals to lead the U.S. to the World Cup title with a 5-2 victory over Japan.

Kassouf received exclusive access to an email Lloyd’s trainer, James Galanis, sent to her before the final in which he predicted Lloyd’s great performance. Galanis wrote that Lloyd had “broken barriers again and gone to a level that no one was expecting and [was] on the brink of shocking the world again.”
