NBC SPORTS GROUP ANNOUNCES TELECAST SCHEDULE FOR 2015 NATIONAL PRO GRID LEAGUE COVERAGE

Coverage Begins Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN


2015 NPGL Championship to Air Tuesday, October 6 at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN


NBCSN to Present More Than 24 Hours of Coverage

Stamford, Conn. – June 12, 2015 – NBC Sports Group and The National Pro Grid League (NPGL), announced today the telecast schedule for the 2015 season. NBC Sports Group’s coverage will begin Tuesday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN from the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. In all, NBC and NBCSN will combine to present more than 24 hours of coverage featuring all eight NPGL teams.

Earlier this year, NBC Sports Group renewed its partnership with the NPGL to provide coverage of five regular-season matches and all seven playoffs matches on NBCSN. In addition, NBCSN will present the 2015 NPGL Championship on October 6 at 9 p.m. ET. An encore presentation of the NPGL Championship will air Sunday, January 3 at 1 p.m. ET on NBC.

GRID is the world’s first professional spectator sport with two co-ed teams racing head-to-head in a two-hour skills contest. GRID skill competitions feature a variety of weightlifting, body-weight elements, and endurance tests.

The NPGL features eight teams: Los Angeles Reign, New York Rhinos, Boston Iron, DC Brawlers, Phoenix Rise, Miami Surge, San Francisco Fire and Baltimore Anthem.
