NBCSN CONTINUES COVERAGE OF THE 2015 VERIZON INDYCAR SERIES THIS SUNDAY WITH HONDA INDY TORONTO AT 3 P.M. ET

Race Coverage Begins Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN; Qualifying Airs Saturday at 5 p.m. ET

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship High Point National – Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN

NBC Sports Live Extra to Stream Honda Indy Toronto and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Coverage

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 11, 2015 – NBCSN continues its extensive coverage of the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series this weekend “north of the border,” with a live presentation of Honda Indy Toronto this Sunday, June 14, at 3 p.m. ET.

This week’s motorsports action on NBCSN also features coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship from its High Point National event on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of this week’s IndyCar and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross events on NBCSN.

 
HONDA INDY TORONTO – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Scott Dixon (Target Chip Ganassi) looks to build on his win last week at the Firestone 600 on Sunday at the Honda Indy Toronto at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Dixon’s win in Texas was his second victory of the season, drawing him within 43 points of championship leader Juan Pablo Montoya (Team Penske). Dixon is third in the overall standings, while last year’s champion Will Power (Team Penske) sits in second place, 35 points behind Montoya. Dixon has experienced recent success in Toronto, recording a sweep of the doubleheader at the Exhibition Place circuit in 2013.

This weekend’s coverage begins on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN with qualifying, prior to NBCSN’s live race coverage on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. In addition, NBCSN will air coverage of the Indy Lights series from Toronto on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET, leading into the Honda Indy Toronto.

NBC Sports Group lead IndyCar play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey will call the Honda Indy Toronto, alongside F1 analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett, and analyst and Toronto native Paul Tracy. Robin Miller, Jon Beekhuis, Kevin Lee and Kelli Stavast will handle pit reporting duties. Kevin Lee, (play-by-play), Anders Krohn (analyst) and Katie Hargitt (reporter) will handle coverage of the Indy Lights race.

 
LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP HIGH POINT NATIONAL – SATURDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra will present six hours of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship coverage this weekend from High Point National in Mount Morris, Pa., in the fifth round of the 12-race championship series. Ryan Dungey took the win in the 450 Class last week at Muddy Creek, while Jeremy Martin claimed his second consecutive win in the 250 class.

Coverage begins on NBC Sports Live Extra with practice at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by pre-race coverage on Live Extra at noon ET. Coverage of Moto 1’s begins on MAVTV at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Moto 2’s on NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET.

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst and two-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia Lindsay will call the action from High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pa.
