NBCOlympics.com Collects Two Sports Emmy Awards

NBCOlympics.com’s presentation of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia earned two Sports Emmys awards this week; Outstanding New Approaches – Sports Event Coverage: The XXII Olympic Winter Games, and Outstanding New Approaches – Sports Programming: The XXII Olympic Winter Games – As the Athletes Experienced Them. NBC Sports Digital has gardened eight Sports Emmy Awards for is coverage of the Olympic Games since 2009.

Overall, NBC Sports Group’s presentation of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia earned seven Sports Emmys – the most of any program – to lead NBC Sports Group to 11 Sports Emmy Awards on Tuesday night. The awards were presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. GolfChannel.com Posts Best April Ever

GolfChannel.com, boosted by its live coverage from the Masters, posted its best April ever, up 30% vs. April 2014 in Unique Visitors (5.8 million), up 45% in page views (52 million), up 43% in visits (11.5 million), and up 35% in video starts (3.4 million).

Rotoworld.com Posts Best April Ever

Boosted by coverage of the NBA, MLB and the 2015 NFL Draft, Rotoworld.com posted its best April ever with 4.6 million unique users and 18.7 million visits, up 26% and 12%, respectively, over April 2014. With the start of the NBA playoffs and MLB season, and the 2015 NFL Draft, following were the most-visited player pages on Rotoworld.com during April:

NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Up in Uniques and Minutes Watched on NBC Sports Live Extra

NBC Sports Live Extra Sets Kentucky Derby Record

As previously announced, NBC Sports Live Extra’s live stream of the Kentucky Derby – which required authentication for the first time – delivered 221,000 unique visitors, up 12% from last year (198,000), and the largest-ever Kentucky Derby audience on NBC Sports Live Extra. Coverage included four exclusive camera angles (grandstand, paddock, overhead, and jockey), bonus analysis from NBC Sports commentators, and replays and footage from the key “Road to the Kentucky Derby” prep races.
