KENTUCKY DERBY

NBC Sports Group’s unprecedented coverage of the 2015 Kentucky Derby continues Saturday at Noon ET with the Kentucky Derby Pre-Race Show on NBCSN, and culminates with the running of the 141st Kentucky Derby on NBC at 4 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Kentucky Derby features hosts Bob Costas, a 26-time Emmy Award-winner, and Tom Hammond, a veteran NBC Sports commentator; analysts Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey, the Hall of Fame jockey and two-time Kentucky Derby winner; analysts/handicappers Mike Battaglia and Eddie Olczyk; NBCSN host/NBC reporter Laffit Pincay, III; reporters Kenny Rice, Donna Brothers and Jay Privman; and race caller Larry Collmus. After making their Kentucky Derby debuts last year, Josh Elliott and Carolyn Manno provide a mix of features and interviews at Churchill Downs, and Olympic figure skaters and NBC figure skating analysts Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski reprise their roles as fashion and lifestyle experts.

 

NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS

NBC Sports Group’s weekend coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begins on NBCSN tonight at 7 p.m. ET, when the Tampa Bay Lightning visit the Montreal Canadiens followed by the Minnesota Wild taking on the Chicago Blackhawks at 9:30 p.m. ET. Kenny Albert and Joe Micheletti call Montreal vs. Tampa Bay, and Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick and Pierre McGuire are on site in Chicago.

Coverage continues Saturday on NBC at 12:30 p.m. ET, when the Washington Capitals visit the New York Rangers in Game 2. Albert, Micheletti and Pierre McGuire have the call from Madison Square Garden in New York.

On Sunday, NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage begins on NBCSN at 6 p.m. ET, with Game 2 of the Montreal-Tampa Bay series, followed by Minnesota at Chicago at 8:30 p.m. ET. Coverage of Game 2 of the Calgary vs. Anaheim series begins at 9 p.m. ET on CNBC. Albert and Micheletti handle coverage in Montreal, while Emrick and McGuire have the call from Chicago. In addition, Dave Strader and Brian Engblom will cover Calgary vs. Anaheim from Anaheim.

Liam McHugh hosts NHL Live and NHL Overtime tonight, along with Mike Milbury and former player Keith Jones, while Jeremy Roenick will join McHugh and Milbury for Saturday’s coverage. Kathryn Tappen, Roenick and Jones host Sunday’s NHL Live and NHL Overtime.

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

NBC Sports Group’s weekend Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 6 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Barclays Premier League Preview, followed by Premier League Live at 7 a.m. ET. Live match coverage begins at 7:45 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Leicester City v. Newcastle, followed by Liverpool v. Queens Park Rangers at 10 a.m. ET. Coverage of the Aston Villa v. Everton, Sunderland v. Southampton, West Ham v. Burnley, and Swansea City v. Stoke City matches will air on Premier League Extra Time at 10 a.m. ET. Saturday’s live match coverage wraps up with Manchester United v. West Brom at 12:30 p.m. ET on CNBC.

NBC Sports Group’s lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White calls Manchester United v. West Brom, joined by Lee Dixon at Old Trafford.

Sunday’s Premier League coverage begins at 6:30 a.m. ET with an encore presentation of Premier League Download: Pundits at the Pub followed by Premier League Live at 7:30 a.m. ET. NBCSN’s live match coverage begins at 8:30 a.m. ET with Chelsea v. Crystal Palace, followed Tottenham v. Manchester City at 11 a.m. ET.

With never-before-seen first-person footage captured by the eight US and UK-based on-air personalities during their travels, this unique edition of Download is must-watch television for fans of the Premier League.

 

GOLF

NBC Sports Group’s extensive coverage of the new-look WGC Cadillac Match Play continues this weekend, beginning tonight at 5 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. Saturday’s coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET, immediately following the Kentucky Derby. Sunday’s coverage of the final round begins at 9:30 a.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.

Dan Hicks (play-by-play) and Johnny Miller (analyst) lead Golf Channel on NBC’s coverage from TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, while Terry Gannon (play-by-play) and Nick Faldo (analyst) handle lead-in coverage on Golf Channel. Joining them are Gary Koch and Peter Jacobsen (tower), Roger Maltbie, Mark Rolfing, and Phil Parkin (on-course), Steve Sands (interviews), and Jimmy Roberts (essays).

Golf Channel’s weekend live tournament coverage also includes the LPGA Tour’s Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout. Coverage continues Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, and culminates with the final round Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

Tom Abbott leads Golf Channel’s team from the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas. Joining Gannon will be Judy Rankin (analyst), Curt Byrum (tower), and Jerry Foltz and Karen Stupples (on-course).

Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage continues with the Champions Tour’s Insperity Invitational beginning Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET, and continuing Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.

Calling the action from The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas will be Bob Papa (play-by-play), Lanny Wadkins (analyst), John Mahaffey and David Marr (tower) and Billy Ray Brown (on-course).

In addition to the PGA Tour, LPGA and Champions Tour events, Golf Channel presents coverage of the Web.com Tour’s United Leasing Championship. Saturday’s coverage begins at 9:30 p.m. ET, and continues Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

Whit Watson hosts coverage from Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind., joined by Craig Perks (analyst), Steve Burkowski (tower), and Phil Blackmar and Kay Cockerill (on-course).

 

INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the IHFF World Hockey Championship begins this weekend on NBCSN, featuring Team USA vs. Norway at 11 p.m. ET Saturday.

In addition to the IHFF World Hockey Championship, NBCSN presents live coverage of the IPC Sledge Hockey World Championships Final this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Marc Zumoff and Andy Yohe host coverage, and AJ Mleczko will be on site for the final game from the Harborcenter in Buffalo, N.Y.

 

NBC SPORTS RADIO

For the first time, NBC Sports Radio will present two hours of live Kentucky Derby coverage beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. Produced in partnership with Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), and distributed by Westwood One, NBC Sports Radio will present live radio coverage of all three Triple Crown races this year.

NBC Sports Radio will also present live NFL draft coverage tomorrow on Going Deep with Amani and Dan featuring live interviews from Chicago, and live Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather pre-fight coverage from the MGM in Las Vegas tomorrow on Under Center with McNabb and Malone and Saturday on The Jason Page Show.

 

RUGBY

NBCSN will present live coverage of the 2015 Varsity Cup National Rugby Collegiate Championship this Saturday at 4 p.m. ET from Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.

Veteran play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will call Saturday’s match, alongside former USA Sevens captain and USA Rugby World Cup participant Brian Hightower. Marty Snider will handle sideline reporting duties.
