NHL

This weekend’s NHL coverage features the third interconference matchup of the week on NBCSN, when Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins host Logan Couture and the San Jose Sharks. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. ET, and coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBCSN.

Play-by-play announcer Dave Strader and Inside-the-Glass analyst Brian Engblom will have the call from CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. In addition, Liam McHugh will host NHL Live, joined by analyst Keith Jones.

 

GOLF

The PGA Tour shifts to the Lone Star State for the Valero Texas Open, the first of two events remaining before the Masters. In addition to the Valero Texas Open, Golf Channel presents live coverage of the LPGA Tour’s Kia Classic, Champions Tour’s Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic presented by C Spire, and European Tour’s Trophee Hassan II.

Weekend coverage of the Valero Texas Open from TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Course begins Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and moves to NBC at 3 p.m. ET.

Dan Hicks (play-by-play) and Peter Jacobsen (analyst) lead Golf Channel on NBC’s coverage of the Valero Texas Open. Steve Sands (play-by-play) and Frank Nobilo (analyst) will host lead-in coverage on Golf Channel, while Sands will also handle interviews on NBC. Joining them are Gary Koch and John Cook (towers), Roger Maltbie, Mark Rolfing and Notah Begay (on-course reporters), and Angela Hamann (interviews Golf Channel).

Golf Channel’s weekend live tournament coverage also includes the LPGA Tour’s Kia Classic Coverage begins tonight at 6 p.m. ET, and continues Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

Whit Watson leads Golf Channel’s team from the Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, Calif. Joining Gannon are Judy Rankin (analyst), Tom Abbott (tower), and Jerry Foltz and Kay Cockerill (on-course).

Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage continues with the Champions Tour’s Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic presented by C Spire. Weekend coverage begins Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

Calling the action from Fallen Oak Golf Club in Biloxi, Miss., is Bob Papa (play-by-play), Lanny Wadkins (analyst), John Mahaffey and Dave Marr (tower), and Billy Ray Brown (on course).

Rounding out Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage this weekend is the European Tour’s Trophee Hassan II, Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. ET.

Scott Walker hosts coverage from Golf Channel’s studio in Orlando, Fla. Joining Walker from Golf du Palais Royal in Morocco are Dominik Holyer (play-by-play), Warren Humphreys (analyst), and Paul Eales (on-course).

 

FORMULA ONE MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX

NBC Sports Group continues its coverage of the 2015 Formula One season with comprehensive coverage of the Malaysian Grand Prix on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra this weekend. Coverage begins Saturday at 2 a.m. ET with Practice 3 on NBCSN, followed by coverage of qualifying races at 5 a.m. ET. Saturday’s coverage wraps up with an encore presentation of the qualifying races at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Sunday’s coverage of the Malaysian Grand Prix begins at 2:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN, and concludes with F1 Extra, NBCSN’s post-race show, at 5 a.m. ET. An encore presentation of the Malaysian Grand Prix will air at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Lead F1 announcer Leigh Diffey will call this weekend’s action, and will be joined by veteran analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, and analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett. F1 insider Will Buxton will serve as the team’s on-site reporter from the Sepang International Circuit in Sepang, Malaysia.

 

MECUM AUCTIONS

This Saturday, NBCSN will air an encore presentation of Mecum Auctions: Kissimmee at 11 a.m. ET. Total sales for the Kissimmee auction reached nearly $70 million, including the sale of Jerry Lee Lewis’ 1959 Harley-Davidson FLH for $350,000.

 

FIGURE SKATING

NBC presents the 2015 World Figure Skating Championships from Shanghai beginning Saturday at 8 p.m. ET with ladies’ and ice dance competitions.

NBC Sports Group’s lead figure skating commentary team of three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir, 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon will host coverage. Tracy Wilson will report from the Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai.

 

WORLD SERIES OF FIGHTING

World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday live at 9 p.m. ET, highlighted by the undefeated Justin “The Highlight” Gaethje (13-0) defending his world lightweight title against Luis “Baboon” Palomino (23-9).

Play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will be joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action from Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

 

SKIING

NBC Sports Group wraps up its coverage of the 2014-15 U.S. Ski and Snowboard Season this Sunday with coverage of the U.S. Alpine Championships Super G beginning Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and the U.S. Freestyle Championships at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Steve Porino, Todd Brooker, and Carolyn Manno call the U.S. Alpine Championships Super G from Sugarloaf, Maine, while Todd Harris, Trace Worthington and Tina Dixon call the U.S. Freestyle Championships from Steamboat, Colo.
