“/DRIVE ON NBC SPORTS” LAUNCHES NEW SEASON ON NBCSN

NEW YORK, March 10, 2015 — /DRIVE is again bringing its dynamic, car-enthusiast programming to NBCSN for Season Two of /DRIVE on NBC Sports. The six-show renewal, which will run throughout the 2015 motorsports season, affirms the value of pairing inventive YouTube native content with traditional TV.

/DRIVE will produce six, all-original episodes to air alongside NBCSN’s coverage of Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR racing events. The first Season Two episode of /DRIVE on NBC Sports will air on Friday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by an encore presentation following qualifying of the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday, April 18 at 4 p.m. ET.

In the Season Two premiere, /DRIVE on NBC Sports: Middle East, /DRIVE hosts Chris Harris, Matt Farah and Mike Spinelli explore the unique car culture of the Arabian peninsula, home to two exciting Formula 1 races — The Bahrain Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. An epic road trip in three of the world’s fastest supercars culminates along one of the greatest driving roads on earth — the dramatic “road to nowhere” that winds up Jabal Al Jais, the UAE’s tallest mountain.

Subsequent episodes will follow /DRIVE personalities as they seek out local car and motorsports culture in various regions, while they test and evaluate cutting-edge sports cars on some of the greatest roadways in the world. Future episodes will focus on the US, Japan, Germany, and Austria.

The content partnership between /DRIVE and NBCSN will continue to yield more motorsports programming for racing fans on both YouTube and NBCSN. /DRIVE will produce three episodes of NBCSN’s F1 wraparound show, Off the Grid with Will Buxton and Jason Swales, as well as two episodes of a new, NASCAR-focused Off The Grid, with motorsports personalities Rutledge Wood and Kelli Stavast, from the Daytona and Talladega races.

“We’re excited for our second year partnership with NBC Sports,” said /DRIVE Executive Producer J.F. Musial. “Last year we proved a model. Now that the foundation is set, we’re focusing on finding and telling the most compelling stories in automotive and motorsports. The constant, global evolution of technology in this arena will require us to travel around the world to find and tell those stories.”
