PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS

Boxing returns to primetime broadcast television for the first time in 30 years this Saturday with the debut of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC at 8:30 p.m. ET. The debut of PBC on NBC features a pair of blockbuster bouts — Keith Thurman vs. Robert Guerrero, and Adrien Broner vs. John Molina Jr. — from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Blow-by-blow announcer Marv Albert and analyst “Sugar” Ray Leonard call the action. Al Michaels hosts the PBC on NBC coverage, while Laila Ali and B.J. Flores serve as corner analysts, joined by reporter Kenny Rice.

Coverage of the inaugural PBC on NBC fights begins tonight at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN with PBC on NBC Weigh-Ins. Rice hosts coverage of tonight’s weigh-ins, joined by Leonard, Ali, and Flores.

 

NHL

This weekend NBC Sports Group presents two Original Six matchups, beginning Sunday at noon ET, when Pavel Datsyuk and the Detroit Red Wings travel to Boston to face Milan Lucic and the Bruins on NBC’s NHL Game of the Week.

Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play) and Pierre McGuire (Inside-The-Glass analyst) have the call for NHL Game of the Week from TD Garden in Boston, Mass.

Sunday’s coverage continues on NBCSN at 7:30 p.m. ET, when Rick Nash and the New York Rangers visit Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Eddie Olczyk (analyst) will have the call from United Center in Chicago, Ill.

 

GOLF

Golf Channel’s weekend schedule; highlighted by 27 hours of live tournament coverage at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, features live coverage from tournaments around the world, including the PGA Tour Puerto Rico Open, LPGA Tour HSBC Women’s Champions and European Tour Africa Open.

The PGA Tour continues the Florida Swing in Miami this week with the WGC Cadillac Championship. Third round coverage begins at 1 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, while Spotlight Coverage focusing on holes 15-18, takes over on Golf Channel at 3 p.m. ET.

Sunday’s coverage of the final round begins at 1 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. Spotlight Coverage on Golf Channel will begin at 3 p.m. ET.

Dan Hicks (play-by-play) and Johnny Miller (analyst) lead Golf Channel on NBC’s coverage of WGC Cadillac Championship. Terry Gannon (play by play) and Frank Nobilo (analyst) will host lead-in coverage on Golf Channel. Joining them from Trump National Doral (Blue Monster) in Miami, Fla. are Gary Koch and Peter Jacobsen (towers), Roger Maltbie, Mark Rolfing and Notah Begay (on-course reporters), Steve Sands (interviews) and Jimmy Roberts (essays and interviews).

John Swantek (play-by-play), Curt Byrum (analyst), Tom Abbott (tower) and Billy Ray Brown (on-course) call the action for Golf Channel’s spotlight coverage.

In addition to the WGC Cadillac Championship, the PGA Tour presents the Puerto Rico Open this weekend. Golf Channel’s weekend coverage begins Saturday at 6 p.m. ET with coverage of the third round, and concludes Saturday with coverage of the final round Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

Brian Hammons hosts Golf Channel’s coverage from Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, joined by Jim Gallagher Jr. (analyst), Phil Blackmar (tower), Jerry Foltz and Kay Cockerill (on-course).

Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage also includes the European Tour’s Africa Open, continuing Saturday at 7:30 a.m. ET, and concluding with coverage of the final round Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET.

Mike Ritz hosts from Golf Channel’s studio in Orlando,  joined by Dominik Holyer (play-by-play), Denis Hutchinson and Warren Humphreys (analysts), and Jay Townsend (on-course) calling the action from East London Golf Club in Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Rounding out Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage this weekend, the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s Champions continues Friday at 11 p.m. ET, and concludes with coverage of the final round Saturday at 11 p.m. ET.

Peter Doogen (play-by-play) hosts Golf Channel’s coverage from Sentosa Golf Club in Sentosa, Singapore, joined by Sandra McKenzie and Kate Burton (analysts).

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

This weekend’s Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 9 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by Queens Park Rangers v. Tottenham at 10 a.m. ET. Premier League Goal Zone on NBCSN at noon ET, wraps up Saturday’s coverage with highlights of the best moments from Saturday’s match.

Calling Queens Park Rangers v. Tottenham will be Jon Champion and Clive Allen. Rebecca Lowe hosts Premier League Live alongside Kyle Martino and Robbie Earle.

 

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

NBC Sports Group will present more than seven hours of live coverage of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championships beginning this weekend. Coverage of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship begins Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET with Game 1 of the Semifinals, from Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md. Coverage then continues at 5 p.m. ET with Game 2 of the Semifinals.

Mike Corey will manage play-by-play duties for all CAA Championship games, and will be joined by analyst and former college basketball head coach Ron Thompson. Russ Thaler will host NBCSN’s CAA Championship studio show and will be joined by analyst and former player Dalen Cuff.

In addition to coverage of the CAA Championship, NBCSN will present an A-10 doubleheader on Saturday featuring UMass – George Washington and George Mason – VCU.

Coverage begins Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET when UMass travels to the Charles E. Smith Center in Washington, D.C. to take on George Washington. Steve Schlanger will handle play-by-play duties alongside analyst Dalen Cuff.

At 5:30 p.m. ET, VCU hosts George Mason at the Stuart Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia. Paul Burmeister will serve as the play-by-play announcer for the matchup and will be joined analyst Ron Thompson.

 

GYMNASTICS

NBC presents coverage of the 2015 AT&T American Cup beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. NBC’s coverage will include the women’s and men’s all-around competitions.

NBC Sports Group’s gymnastics team of Al Trautwig, Olympic gold medalists Tim Daggett and Nastia Liukin, and Andrea Joyce will host coverage from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

 

SPEED SKATING

NBCSN presents coverage of the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships beginning Saturday at 1 a.m. ET.

Mike Corey (play-by-play) will call the action, and will be joined by former Olympic Gold Medalist Dan Jansen (analyst).
