NHL

NBC Sports Group presents a full weekend of hockey coverage beginning with the latest iteration of the NHL Stadium Series on Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The San Jose Sharks host the Los Angeles Kings at Levi’s Stadium, home of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, in Santa Clara, Calif. Pre-game coverage begins at 9:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on-site from Levi’s Stadium.

Kathryn Tappen hosts live studio coverage on-site at Levi’s Stadium, and will be joined by Dave Strader (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst), Brian Engblom (Inside-The-Glass analyst) and Carolyn Manno (reporter).

In addition to the NHL Stadium Series, this weekend NBC Sports Group celebrates Hockey Day In America on Sunday from the site of one of the most influential hockey games in U.S. history. NBC and NBCSN present an NHL tripleheader with studio coverage on-site from Lake Placid, N.Y., on the 35th anniversary of the 1980 “Miracle On Ice.”

Hockey Day in America coverage begins at noon ET with NHL Live on NBC, followed by Philadelphia Flyers hosting the Washington Capitals at 12:30 p.m. ET. The second game of NBC Sports Group’s NHL tripleheader on Sunday begins at 3:30 p.m. ET with the Boston Bruins taking on the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. NHL Live continues at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by the Minnesota Wild hosting the Dallas Stars at 8 p.m. ET.

Hockey Day In America studio coverage originates live from Lake Placid throughout the day on Sunday. Liam McHugh anchors Sunday’s coverage, alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick.

Chris Cuthbert (play-by-play) and Anson Carter (analyst) have the call for the first game in the tripleheader, Capitals-Flyers, from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa, while Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst) Pierre McGuire (inside-the-glass) call Bruins-Blackhawks from the United Center in Chicago, Ill. Gord Miller (play-by-play) and Bret Hedican (analyst) call Stars-Wild on NBCSN from the Xcel Center in St. Paul, Minn., in the final game of Sunday’s tripleheader.

 

GOLF

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the PGA Tour’s Northern Trust Open begins Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, and continues with live coverage of the final round Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Terry Gannon leads Golf Channel’s team calling the action from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., alongside Nick Faldo (analyst), Curt Byrum and Matt Gogel (tower), Phil Parkin and Phil Blackmar (on course) and George Savaricas (interviews).

Golf Channel’s coverage of the European Tour’s Hero Indian Open continues Saturday at 5:30 a.m. ET, and concludes with coverage of the final round Sunday at 5:30 a.m. ET.

Dominik Holyer (play by play) calls the action from Delhi Golf Club, joined by Paul Eales (analyst) and Dom Boulet (on course).

Golf Channel’s coverage of the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open begins tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET and concludes with coverage of the final round Saturday at 9 p.m. ET.

 

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

NBCSN presents four college basketball matchups this weekend, beginning Saturday at 2 p.m. ET with an Atlantic-10 conference game between University of Dayton and Duquesne University. Ryan Burr and David Kaplan host coverage of Dayton-Duquense from the A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Saturday’s coverage continues at 4 p.m. ET when Drexel University visits Northeastern University in a CAA Conference game. Steve Schlanger and Dalen Cuff host coverage of Drexel-Northeastern from the Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass.

Sunday’s college basketball coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. ET with La Salle University at Saint Louis University in an Atlantic 10 matchup, and continues at 4:30 p.m. ET when William & Mary College visits Hofstra University in a CAA conference game.

Steve Schlanger and Ben Howland host coverage of La Salle-Saint Louis from the Chaifetz Arena in Saint Louis, Mo. In the late game, Mike Corey and Ron Thompson will host coverage of William & Mary-Hofstra from the Mack Sports Complex in Hempstead, N.Y.

NBC Sports Group’s weekend Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Barclays Premier League Preview, followed by Premier League Live at 9 a.m. ET. Live match coverage begins at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Chelsea v. Burnley. Coverage of the Swansea City v. Manchester United, Crystal Palace v. Arsenal, Aston Villa v. Stoke City, Sunderland v. West Brom, and Hull City v. Queens Park Rangers matches will air on Premier League Extra Time at 10 a.m. ET.
