SUPER BOWL XLIX

NBC presents coverage of Super Bowl XLIX this Sunday, with Tom Brady and the AFC champion New England Patriots facing Russell Wilson and the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Super Bowl Sunday coverage begins at Noon ET with NBC Sports’ six-hour Super Bowl XLIX Pre-Game Show.

Al Michaels (play-by-play) calls his ninth Super Bowl alongside 15-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth (analyst), in the Super Bowl booth for the third time. Two-time Emmy Award-winner Michele Tafoya reports from the Super Bowl sidelines for the third time, her second for NBC.

NBC’s Super Bowl XLIX Pre-Game Show is hosted by 26-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas, who will be joined by NBC Sports’ Football Night in America team of Dan Patrick, Josh Elliott, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Hines Ward, Mike Florio and Peter King, and Sunday Night Football’s Michaels, Collinsworth, and Tafoya, contributing to the pre-game coverage with interviews, features, and live on-site commentary and analysis. Liam McHugh will serve as an on-site host at the stadium, Carolyn Manno and Randy Moss will report from the team hotels, and Doug Flutie will appear in on-field segments. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh will join NBC Sports’ Super Bowl XLIX coverage as a guest analyst.

The Super Bowl XLIX Pre-Game Show will also feature the events surrounding the Super Bowl, including an interview with halftime headliner Katy Perry; live musical performances from the NFL Experience; reports and interviews by NBC Sports’ popular figure skating analysts Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski with celebrities attending the game; reports from the festive atmosphere at the NFL Experience and Super Bowl XLIX Tailgate Party; and much more.

NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie will interview President Barack Obama as part of the Super Bowl XLIX Pre-Game Show airing late Sunday afternoon.

 

SUPER BOWL ZONE”

NBC Sports has partnered with nearly 150 NBC affiliated and owned stations to present “Super Bowl Zone,” a 30-minute program previewing Super Bowl XLIX this Saturday. The program, which will be produced by NBC Sports and feature affiliate hosts, begins at 7:30 p.m. ET.

“Super Bowl Zone” will be co-hosted by NBC Sports commentators Carolyn Manno and Kathryn Tappen. The program will feature an interview between Football Night In America analyst Tony Dungy and Seahawks LB and Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith, as well as a feature with FNIA commentator Rodney Harrison and Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski.

 

CRIS COLLINSWORTH’S SUPER BOWL SPECIAL

As kickoff of Super Bowl XLIX approaches, NBC presents Cris Collinsworth’s Super Bowl Special tomorrow Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

The one-hour show features a behind-the-scenes look at Cris Collinsworth, the analyst for television’s No. 1 primetime show Sunday Night Football, in the week leading up to his third Super Bowl in the broadcast booth.

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

NBC Sports Group’s Super Bowl weekend Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 6 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Barclays Premier League Preview, followed by Premier League Live at 7 a.m. ET, live from downtown Phoenix at “Super Bowl Central,” NBC Sports Group’s primary home for studio programing during Super Bowl week. Live match coverage begins at 7:45 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Hull City v. Newcastle, and continues at 10 a.m. ET when Manchester United hosts Leicester City on NBCSN. Coverage of the Liverpool v. West Ham, West Brom v. Tottenham, Crystal Palace v. Everton, Stoke City v. Queens Park Rangers and Sunderland v. Burnley matches will air on Premier League Extra Time at 10 a.m. ET.

Rich Lerner leads Golf Channel’s team calling the action from TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Ariz., alongside Frank Nobilo (analyst), Matt Gogel (tower), and Steve Burkowski (interviews).

Golf Channel’s coverage of the European Tour’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic continues Saturday with live coverage beginning at 4 a.m. ET, and an encore presentation airing at 9:30 a.m. ET. Sunday’s live coverage of the final round begins at 4 a.m. ET, with an encore presentation airing at 9:30 a.m. ET.

NASCAR

NBCSN presents 6.5 hours of exclusive NASCAR programming tonight; highlighted by the 2015 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction at 8 p.m. ET. Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. ET with a special one-hour edition of NASCAR AMERICA, and continues at 7 p.m. ET with the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Special.

Friday’s NASCAR programming wraps up with NBC Sports’ NASCAR Gridiron Challenge presented by Toyota at 10 p.m. ET.
