STAMFORD, Conn. – January 20, 2015 – This week’s Championship Game edition of NFL Turning Point, NBCSN’s Emmy Award-nominated weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, will feature in-depth analysis of Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks’ stunning overtime victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to advance to Super Bowl XLIX, as well as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots’ dominant victory over Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts to earn a trip to Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program airs throughout the entire NFL season. Including this week’s Championship Game episode, there are three installations of NFL Turning Point remaining this season. Next week’s episode, which airs Thursday, Jan. 29 at 1:30 a.m. ET, will preview Super Bowl XLIX. The season finale of Turning Point will air Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 11 p.m. ET, and review Super Bowl XLIX. Following are highlights from this week’s episode, examining last Sunday’s NFC and AFC Championship Games.

PACKERS-SEAHAWKS

NFL Films brings viewers on a journey through the tale of two halves from the thrilling NFC Championship Game between the Packers and Seahawks. The program examines how the Packers’ defense was able to initially limit the Seahawks’ offense, and highlights how Seattle began its comeback late in the game.

Turning Point reviews the game’s wild conclusion in regulation. It will analyze Seattle’s recovery of a bobbled onside kick, which led to Marshawn Lynch’s go-ahead touchdown run. The segment then reviews Green Bay’s response, as Mason Crosby kicked his fifth field goal with 14 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime, and also features Seattle’s game-winning overtime drive, capped by Wilson’s 35-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Kearse.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, S Kam Chancellor, and S Earl Thomas, and Packers WR Randall Cobb and LB Julius Peppers are wired-for-sound.

COLTS-PATRIOTS

NFL Turning Point dissects the Patriots’ 45-7 win over the Colts to advance to their sixth Super Bowl in 12 seasons. The program reviews how the Patriots blew the game open with touchdowns on their first four second-half possessions, including two Tom Brady touchdown passes and two LeGarrette Blount touchdown runs.

The show will also feature a segment on Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, analyzing how he tailors game plans for each opponent, and his use of trick plays, stretching back to his time as an offensive coordinator under Bill Parcells.

Patriots WR Julian Edelman and LB Dont’a Hightower, and Colts WR T.Y Hilton and DL Josh Chapman are wired-for-sound.
