NBCSN TO AIR “MEDAL OF HONOR BOWL” SATURDAY AT 2:30 P.M. ET

Postseason College Football All-Star Game Featuring Many of Nation’s Top Draft-Eligible Players

Medal of Honor Bowl To Be Played At The Citadell’s Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, S.C.

Stamford, Conn. – January 8, 2015 – NBCSN will televise the second annual Medal of Honor Bowl – one of the nation’s premier college football All-Star games – Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, from Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, S.C.

The 2015 Medal of Honor Bowl will feature many of the nation’s top draft-eligible college football players, with the majority coming from the NCAA’s major college football conferences, such as the ACC, BIG 10, BIG 12 and SEC. Players from more than 30 different Division I programs will be represented, and include TE C.J. Uzomah (Auburn), OL David Beasley (Clemson), QB Gary Nova (Rutgers), LB Paul Quessenberry (Navy), WR Glen Coleman (Florida International), and LB Edwin Jackson (Georgia Southern). Players for the Medal of Honor Bowl have been divided in to two separate teams. Veteran NFL and college football head coach Chan Gailey will lead the National Team, and former college football head coach Willie Jeffries will serve as head coach of the American Team.

Play-by-Play announcer Paul Burmeister will call the game, and will be joined by analyst Anthony Herron and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen.

The major portion of the game’s proceeds benefit the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, with other funds anticipated for support of local veterans and Wounded Warrior projects.

ABOUT THE MEDAL OF HONOR BOWL

The Medal of Honor Bowl is a postseason college all-star game that features the nation’s top draft-eligible players. In addition to the game, the week-long event will feature a player leadership conference, the Wounded Warrior Luncheon, the Medal of Honor True Blue Gala and opportunities to meet bowl players and future NFL stars. The major portion of the game’s proceeds benefit the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, with other funds anticipated for support of local veterans and Wounded Warrior projects.
