Stamford, Conn. – December 2, 2014 – Wednesday night’s all new edition of NFL Turning Point, NBCSN’s Emmy Award-nominated weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, will feature in-depth analysis of Week 13’s high-profile matchup between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Airing at 11 p.m. ET, NFL Turning Point will also include a look at the San Diego Chargers comeback against the Baltimore Ravens, a wired-for-sound segment featuring DE J.J. Watt in the Houston Texans game against the Tennessee Titans, as well as an exclusive film study session with Seattle Seahawks S Kam Chancellor.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program will air throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Patriots – Packers: NFL Turning Point studies the matchup between Rodgers and Brady. The segment reviews how the Packers defense was able to cover Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, and examines the game-saving play Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix made to prevent Gronkowski from scoring in the final minutes of the fourth-quarter. NFL Turning Point also highlights the ability of the Packers offensive line to protect Rodgers, and shines a spotlight on the play of Packers WRs Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson.

 

  • Ravens – Chargers: NFL Films breaks down the final six minutes of the Chargers game against the Ravens. It reviews how QB Phillip Rivers was able to lead a comeback for San Diego, including the game-winning touchdown pass to WR Eddie Royal.

 

  • J.J. Watt:Wednesday night’s episode will also include a wired-for-sound segment with J.J. Watt, featuring in-game audio from the Texans win over the Titans. NFL Films cameras and microphones capture Watt as he draws inspiration and enthusiasm from 21-time world wrestling champion Ric Flair. The segment also features in-game-audio of Watt catching his third thouchdown pass this season as a receiver.

 

  • Kam Chancellor: NFL Films conducts an exclusive film study session with Seattle Seahawks S Kam Chancellor, in which Chancellor discusses his play and position.

 

Each week Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long form, Game-of-the-Week style narratives that include the pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2014 NBCSN will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLIX.
