Former UCLA Head Coach Ben Howland to Debut as NBCSN College Basketball Analyst

Stamford, Conn. – November 25, 2014 – NBCSN will present live coverage of the 2014 Barclays Center Classic this holiday weekend, highlighted by No. 8 Virginia facing LaSalle Friday night at 9 p.m. ET, from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

NBCSN’s coverage of the Barclays Center Classic, featuring reigning ACC Champion No. 8 Virginia, Vanderbilt, Rutgers and LaSalle, begins Friday night at 7 p.m. ET with a Big 10 vs. SEC matchup between Rutgers and Vanderbilt. Coverage concludes Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. ET, with the Barclays Center Classic Championship Game, preceded by the Consolation Game at 7 p.m. ET.

Former UCLA head coach Ben Howland will make his national television debut as a game analyst throughout the tournament. Howland will be joined by play-by-play commentator Terry Gannon. Dalen Cuff will report from the sideline for both games on Friday night, and Chris Mannix will manage reporting duties for the Consolation and Championship Games on Saturday night. In addition, Dave Briggs will host NBCSN’s college basketball studio show, joined by analyst Ron Thompson.

The 2014 Barclays Center Classic is part of the BROOKLYN HOOPS™ platform at Barclays Center.

NBCSN will live stream to PCs, mobile devices and tablets through NBC Sports Live Extra, and to the digital platforms of participating cable, satellite, and telco services, via “TV Everywhere,” which is available on an authenticated basis to subscribers of participating MVPDs.
