STAMFORD, Conn. – November 19, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014 MLS Cup Playoffs continue as the New York Red Bulls face the New England Revolution in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship this Sunday, November 23 at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The fourth-seeded New York Red Bulls advanced from the Eastern Conference knockout round against last season’s MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City to upset top-seeded D.C. United in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Red Bulls are led by MLS regular season leading-scorer, forward Bradley Wright-Phillips (27 goals), and forward Thierry Henry, tied for second in MLS with 14 regular season assists.

The New England Revolution beat the Columbus Crew 4-2 and 3-1, respectively, in the first and second legs of the Eastern Conference Semifinals to advance to the Eastern Conference Championship for the first time since 2007. The Revolution feature U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Jermaine Jones and MVP candidate Lee Nguyen (18 goals, 5 assists in the regular season).

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match from Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., and is joined by former Major League Soccer and U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Kyle Martino and host Russ Thaler.
