SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Two of the NFL’s top quarterbacks and offenses take center stage this Sunday night on NBC when Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (7-2) visit Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts (6-3) on Sunday Night Football. Sunday night’s coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET.

Calling Patriots-Colts is play-by-play announcer Al Michaels, analyst Cris Collinsworth, and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

Football Night in America is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report from Lucas Oil Stadium. Costas will be joined on site by Collinsworth, Tafoya, Hines Ward and Josh Elliott.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1 and will be joined by Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and Peter King of Sports Illustrated. Carolyn Manno will report from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., on the Eagles-Packers game.

 

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

NBC presents coverage of the No. 18 Notre Dame Fighting Irish return to Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind., to face the Northwestern Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, NBC’s Notre Dame pre-game show.

NBC’s Notre Dame Football play-by-play commentator Dan Hicks leads the team calling the game from South Bend, alongside analyst Doug Flutie who moves to the broadcast booth this weekend after serving as a sideline analyst for NBC’s first five Notre Dame games this season. Mike Mayock, who has manned the booth for all Fighting Irish home games since 2010, shifts to sideline analyst for Saturday’s game to provide in-depth Xs-and-Os commentary from field level. Kathryn Tappen continues as sideline reporter.

Liam McHugh will host Countdown To Kickoff at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, on-site at Notre Dame Stadium. He will be joined by Mayock and two-time Super Bowl champion Hines Ward. McHugh, Mayock and Ward will also manage halftime coverage, as well as the post-game show, which will air on NBCSN.

NBCSN will present a Colonial Athletic Association showdown this weekend, when the No. 13 Richmond Spiders host the James Madison Dukes at 12:30 p.m.

Paul Burmeister (play-by-play) and Anthony Herron (analyst) will call the action from E. Claiborne Robins Stadium in Richmond, Va.

 

GOLF

The 2014-15 PGA TOUR season continues this week at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. Weekend coverage on Golf Channel begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET with an encore presentation of the third round. Live coverage of the final round begins Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.

Rich Lerner (play-by-play) leads Golf Channel’s team calling the action from El Camaleon in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Joining Lerner will be Curt Byrum  (analyst), Matt Gogel (tower), Peter Oosterhuis (tower), and Phil Blackmar and Rich Beem (on course).

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the European Tour’s Turkish Airlines Open begins Saturday with live coverage at 4 a.m. ET, and concludes Sunday with live coverage of the final round at 3:30 a.m. ET.

Mike Ritz hosts from Golf Channel’s studio in Orlando. Joining Ritz from Montgomerie Maxx Royal in Turkey is Dominik Hoyer (play by play), Tony Johnstone and Ken Brown (analyst), and Paul Eales (on course).

The LPGA’s Lorena Ochoa Invitational presented by Banamex Info continues tonight at 5p.m. ET on Golf Channel. Saturday’s coverage begins at 5 p.m. ET, and coverage of the final round begins Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s team of Terry Gannon (play by play), Judy Rankin (analyst), Tom Abbott (tower), and Jerry Foltz and Karen Stupples (on course) call the action from Club de Golf Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico.

 

MECUM AUCTIONS

NBC Sports Group presents more than 20 hours of motorsports coverage this weekend, beginning tonight on NBCSN at 6:30 p.m. ET with Mecum Auctions: Anaheim, and continues Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Scott Hoke will host NBC Sports Group’s Mecum Auctions coverage on-site at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and Bill Stephens.

 

NASCAR AMERICA

NBCSN will presents NASCAR AMERICA:Homestead Special tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as all three NASCAR national series get set to close out their seasons at Homestead-Miami this weekend.

Tonight’s edition of NASCAR AMERICA, hosted by NASCAR on NBC lead race announcer Rick Allen alongside NBC Sports NASCAR analysts Kyle Petty and Jeff Burton, will feature an interview with NASCAR CEO and Chairman Brian France, multiple reports from Homestead from Marty Snider, and a preview of the winner-take-all Championship race on Sunday.

 

RED BULL RALLYCROSS

NBC presents the 2014 Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship from Las Vegas, Nev., Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Veteran motorsports play-by-play announcer Tes Sewell has the call on Sunday from The LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, joined by motorsports analyst Townsend Bell and reporter Kristen Kenney.

 

IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

NBC Sports’ annual IRONMAN World Championship broadcast special, from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, airs Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Veteran sportscaster Al Trautwig narrates the annual special and offer viewers a front-row seat to one of the most captivating events in sports.

 

SPARTAN RACE

NBC Sports Group showcases some of the world’s best athletes in obstacle racing Sunday at 3 p.m. ET when NBC presents coverage of the 2014 Spartan Race World Championship from Killington, Vt.

Veteran action sports broadcaster Sal Masekela will call the race from Killington, Vt.

 

FIGURE SKATING

NBC continues its coverage of the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series with Grand Prix Russia. Coverage of the men’s and ladies’ free skates begins  Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.

Three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir, 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, and play-by-play announcer Steve Schlanger will handle coverage.

 

FIGHT NIGHT

NBCSN presents a World Series of Fighting world championship tripleheader Saturday live at 9 p.m. ET, highlighted by David Branch (14-3) defending his middleweight title belt for the first time against Yushin “Thunder” Okami (30-8).

Play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will be joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action from the USF Sun Dome Arena in Tampa, Fla.
